Edit-where the exchange can be done almost instantly like shapeshift,i know its not really an exchange,but something similar to that.

Fees aren't important, but security, reliability and volume sure is! Better to choose a secure and reliable exchange with high volume in ETH/BTC like poloniex. I'm sure their fees are competitive.

there are many exchanges for ethereum like btc-e.com,poloniex and many others
you can pick one that suits you

I wanted to use sites which can instantly convert and give me bitcoin in exchange or ethereum and vice versa.I was using shape shift for that but the problem there is fee for me.Paying fee there takes all my profit or even causes me loss.

Use an exchange is your best option. The site you were using is a crytocurrency convertor and not a true exchange.
I was about to use one that is similar to yobit because most have ETH and I use bitcoin directly to buy whomever is selling ETH on that site.
Haven't tried it myself but it has been around for a long time.
