I really appreciate the open and honest communication of the pool opp.  Well done.  I'll be back after its all sorted and upping my donation percentage.  Some teething issues for sure, but I think this will end up being a great pool!

hello guys! Small update:

first of all, thanks for your support! As we wrote in site news also,
4/15/2013 - Site and Mining Operations Shut down temporairly for maintenance.
We found a bug with VARDIFF and it was causing issues with our site and we have shutdown for a few hours to sort it all out. Check back soon

The thought for now is to remove VARDIFF completely, till we could replicate the error. We ironing few more things, and opening announcement will be due soon Smiley

Is the vardiff disabled now?

I get alot better rates now, 1100Khs instead of 800Khs.
More in line with what I get on other pools.

Hello again!! Yes, VARDIFF is disabled for now, was causing/caused major issues. One of those, is that one particular user(username Unicorn) got credited with 99% of the LTC rewards for the last 5 blocks, due to VARDIFFs error crediting him with 2 MILLION MEGA hashes per second ^__^ We have already emailed the user, and we hope that wi will be kind enough to return the LTCs so we can redistribute them to you!(Unicorn if you read this, please check your email  Cheesy )

on another note, pool is BACK and more stable than before(in the maintenance we found out some more minor bugs and we decided them to fix them while the pool was down now anyways). BOTH EU and USA servers are up, STRATUM fully works and VARDIFF is DISABLED till further notice!!

Again sorry for the trouble!!! Lets resume from where we started!!

So will we be credited for the shared we were submitting when none of the stats were updating? ~Last 5 blocks or something.

Thanks for your hard work! I really enjoy this pool and just like someone above said, your admin presence is great!

We were credited, but we did credited wrong (as i wrote, user Unicorn was credited mistakenly like 95% of the whole last 5 blocks due to a VARDIFF error). We have already contacted him and we wait for his answer Smiley If he refuses to return it, we will try to pay everyone which was affected by those 5 last blocks with our own LTCs, if they will ask for them... Its not like its Unicorns' fault at the very end, its OUR fault, and we dont liek the idea OUR users pay for OUR mistakes. If he returns them, all good otherwise if not, users who demand it we will try to make it right for them one by one  Smiley

Dynamic Vardiff seems to be a disaster whenever it's tried.  Just my experience.

I agree, personally I like user selected difficulty, I know what my hash rate is and thus it's easy for me to select it.  Vardiff messes up too often.

Kudos to you! You just earned a lot of respect for owning up to your mistake unlike some other admins. If Unicom returns the coins... great. If not, I'll take the loss on my shares just because I believe it was an honest mistake on your part and I appreciate you being up front with us.

On a side note, the pool seems to be running really smooth right now.  Grin

IS vardiff still on for the US stratum server?  When cgminer first connected, it was running 128 diff.  It has since switched to 266.

Vardiff seems to be active still on the US server....difficulty jumped to 15xx and then stopped responding.  Presumably because I wasnt solving any blocks at that level but it escalated very quickly from 128 to 336 to 15xx in a 3 lines of polling.  Switched back to eu...no issues there.

+1, can we just go to user selected difficulty?

I'm on us and my current difficulty is 290 so probably it's still active
