For the love of God, do any of the owners of this site watch the thread?  I still cannot create new workers.  Very lame.

Wow. BBS. Now isn't that an old school term. 😄 thought that verbiage went out like 20 years ago. Probably more accurately their own forum but I jest. mhps is correct thou. They decided for better or worse to go with their own site for inquiries. Wish they didn't. Entire website as a whole sucks on mobile and doesn't load very fast.

same thing. 20 years ago the best place to talk online I thought was usenet groups.

same thing. 20 years ago the best place to talk online I thought was usenet groups.

20 years ago most people used a BBS (early ISP's) to access Usenet groups and both had the ability to talk with others.

Ah... I remember those days fondly.  Using my 1200 baud modem and practically pissing my pants when I bought a 33.6k modem for $300...

Anyway to the topic at hand, I had US3 go down on me tonight for about an hour.  Didn't see any notices. Had to switch to US instead.

Why haven't been able to access this pool for almost a week now???  I've turned my miners elsewhere as a result.

Is the dashboard broken? The hash rate on the dashboard 10 times less then my actual hash rate of my miner?

Something sketchy is going on with the pool, the SSL certificate is broken for the frontend (phishing attempt?) and my miners can't connect to the backend

I also had some issues with my miners being unable to connect or not mining, I thought it was a problem with my internet connection, this happened a few hours ago but after that so far no problems

The problems are fixed for me and I am fully running again. If you still have a problem it might be you.

I've read that this pool skims coins from miners. Is there any truth to this? I need to know asap. And if it is true, please suggest me a good pool. I got fucked when 50btc got hacked, NEVER-AGAIN. I-need-to-know-asap!

Thats the best bullshit I've ever heard about wemineLTC(or wemineFTC). Imo its the best pool. So its definately not true, may I know your source?
EDIT: Its even a 0% fee pool

There is a lot of discussion at the moment (on Reddit, here and elsewhere), about botnets on WeMineLTC.

I have to say that I find it a shame when I see pools that allow or tolerate users which clearly are botnets.  (c.f. "not banning" = "tolerating")

Botnets mining is, without any question, a clear theft.  The botnet operator _steals_ electricity from the infected users and gains coins (litecoins, or others) out of it, for his/her own profit.

In my eyes, botnets are no more acceptable than wallet-stealing malware.
Stealing electricity for some coins or stealing a wallet is basically the same thing: Theft - just one a smaller scale.

Those activities are harmful to the Litecoin community and to the growth of the crypto-currency.  (I doubt anymore could argue that this can be beneficial!)

It would be an honorable display of ethics and vision from WeMineLTC to openly state that they won't accept botnets, and to truly and transparently kick them out.
