Received an Avalon newsletter like so many of us indicating about www.bitcoinavalon.com is NOT an official site. Ok, good. Then the second part of the message says,

"It has also been brought to our attention that there is sellers on Silkroad and Atlantis claiming to be "Yifu" or "Xiangfu" selling Avalon ASICs, since we did NOT make these listings, you can be sure they are scams and not just unofficial re-sellers".

What's funny is they expect you to know what Silkroad and Atlantis are. Like everyone knows about it and goes shopping there daily. I felt that a little weird and odd to be sending out a news letter to thousands of people probably saying that. I seriously know many people that are involved  into Bitcoin and have no idea what Silkroad is. Does that make someone ignorant because they aren't aware of an illegal website selling drugs? Smiley

Actually it is pretty hard to not know them, since there has been numerous mentions of them in major news media over extended period of time. So yes, if someone involved in crypto currency did not even hear about them, then that person is indeed at least borderline ignorant.

Has anyone seen reports on television regarding Silkroad? I never see anything, only small online reporting.

Not tv, but online. Not small, quite big. Look around.
