Hi guys i am new to mining and i want to try it . can u pro's help me finish my build list?

120GB Ssd
2x Rx 470 4gb[Sapphire Nitro+,Msi gaming X ](I dont know which brand to choose    )
PSU what Watts should i get? does 80+rating bronze or gold matter?

it really doesn't matter what card you buy . i was told this way buy the cheapest 470 480 you can then mode the bios .I'll go one far

Don't always follow card reviews some times they are one sided or some one paid some one to say bad or good things that are not always true so I  found out .

XFX RX 470 4 GB
power color red dragon RX 480 4gb  is a nice card after you mode it. new egg has it on sell for a few more days at 169 .
MSI is not bad some say they are, there not i own two R7 370 they take a beating so the 470 cant be much worth off .


 i own one power color red dragon rx 480 seemed like it was junk till i started playing with it now it's my best card .
two Sapphires one is a nitro the other is a ref card
 
and a
XFX rx470 4gb with two fans , i bought at a local best buy I got a nice deal over buying it on line plus i wanted it that day so price may not have mattered to much that day . i was lucky that day .

No need to get the expensive SSD for a mining rig, use any cheap hard drive and you'll be fine. Go with the cheaper RX 470 version, all work almost the same. Go with the bronze version of power supply, until and unless you really want to save a little amount of electric usage, somewhat like 15-25 Watts for such a system which you're building.

500-550 Watts for these two graphics must be fine, but if you have any plan of adding one more similar GPU in near future, I'd suggest you getting a 650-700 Watts PSU. That'd be enough for 3 GPU's like these if you under-volt a little...

First of all, there are some things you can do to cut your costs. G1840 replace with G1820 (i got it in one of mine rigs) if there is noticeable price difference between them. You don't need SSD for mining, it does not improve mining performance at all, and you won't be using that configuration for anything else so no sense in buying it when you can find 50gb cheap used HDD. For GPU you can take any of them as long as you can modify bios as someone said before. As for power supply for ONLY TWO CARDS 500w should be enough and must be at least bronze certified

i can only find g1840 at my local shop and is 1mbps internet speed enough? note:not mBps

mining  which coin and running them at stock setting may not work with some cards, most cards run better if you mode the bios then they use less power run faster produce less heat and run a lot smother.

as for how much two or one 470 can make a day depends on what coin you want to mine the software miner your gonna use .

right now and probably for a month or two the best coin to mine with 470's is zcash using them with a modded bios for best results.

internet speed don't matter much as long as it is stable and doesn't drop off a lot and try to run it over fiber, don't use wise less to mine with or you can but it's not as stable as a direct wire.

well rx470 here is expensive about 1.1k and i am afraid that modding bios will void the warranty...and yupp i plan to mine zcash too  ...once again i am pretty new about mining and just started researching for a few day only    ...hopefully i get good deals to buy my stuff... imo this forum is full of sharing caring people for now

to get a general idea type 150 , , my total farm does about 1.13 kh not h so i make about 13 to 14 $ a day that's nothing to some of the miners here . i may make more last time i check was a few hours ago the price was below 100 bucks per coin.

one 470 4gb might make 1.19 more or less a day , i looked wrong my bad that's a week 7 to 8 bucks,

You can get a 1080 8GB(the top brand with coolers included) here for that much.
I don't even think the 490 when it comes out will cost that much.
You are talking in USD aren't you?
If it does cost that much don't expect to make that money back just for the card alone until maybe a year of mining z-cash.

yea good question were do you live if one 470 4 gb cost a 1000 bucks if you mean US dollars . i can buy 5 480 with a 1000 bucks right now in the US @ 169 each or probable do even better by  shopping and looking, because it is black Friday and things are super cheap right now till Monday at most stores online or retail.
