Maybe this is just my guess only, but some of this time, it looks like the transaction in blockchain starts slowing down.
Waiting transaction with fee 20k satoshi very long compared to 2 months ago.
Though it was only using fee with 10k satoshi, but 2 months ago transaction very fast when compared now.
What do you think about it ?

Pretty sure this is posted in the wrong section, your issue seems to be about the bitcoin network on a whole and not just blockchain, info, also, transactions will generally take a long time if you do not use the fee recommended when you are sending BTC from your wallet, the network may be a bit backed up

Yes, the transaction fees per block has been raised and a fee of 20k sats would make your transaction in medium or low priority. Nowadays the high fee payers are able to complete there transaction smoothly. Try increasing your fee to about 100k sats though it depends about the output in bytes.

I think that depends on the network, and in these days Bitcoin price is unsteady, so there are much more transactions than the natural case, I also noticed that they have made the transaction fee a bit more than the usual even for the small amounts like 0.01BTC.

YourpointIsInvalid was correct. This is not a problem with blockchain.info but with the actual bitcoin network.

And yes, there are a lot of unconfirmed transactions as well as those that takes quite a long time to confirm.
I saw from the bitcoin discussion section, some people are saying it could be that the miners are waiting for higher fees. Especially since there seems to be plenty of empty/not full blocks, yet transactions with low fees aren't being included. But of course others are saying it'c due to other reasons.
Personally though, I think that part of the reason transaction are unconfirmed/too long is because miners are waiting for users to Up their fees(fee wars?)

Yes, the problem is bitcoin network itself, and not any service or wallet. They are working as intended, no fault there.
Yesterday we noted very high number of unconfirmed transactions - at the peak point it was more than 70k unconfirmed transactions pending.
Now situation is far better, as we have only about 15k pending transactions (usually it is about 5k at any given time)

Yup, I sent $50 (in BTC) to a currency exchange and receive a fee of $2(in BTC) that should be at 2 months ago only fee less than $1 (in BTC).

I did notice that my sends were not getting confirmed like they usually do with the same about I put on the tx fee.
Is the network getting hit hard again with the black friday sales going on with bitcoin this year?

Value of bitcoin in terms of fiat doesn't matter on recommended fee to put your transaction in higher priority for getting confirmed within next block. It depends on transaction size which is based on number of inputs and number of outputs in your transaction. https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ this can give you better understanding regarding relation between fee and size of transaction and it will also help you to understand what is current recommended fee per byte of your transaction which keep changing.

That is a nice site to calculate the fees. I will use it next time I have to send so to know how much to apply to my transaction before sending it so it doesn't get delayed so much like last time.
Thanks.

Yes that's a good service, I also recently saw that link from another thread.

I got a question amacar, if you don't mind please.

If the transaction size depends on the number of inputs and outputs does it mean, the older the wallet/address the more transactions it's got then the bigger the transaction sizes would be?
I'm really confused about this since I recently made a new wallet at blockchain.info, it's got 1-2 transactions made but for the last transaction, the fee it recommended was 639/byte (189).
Is that the normal rates these days?(It got very high priority and confirmed really fast)
I don't really need the very fast confirmations so, is there any way I could know the transaction size beforehand? thank you.  Cheesy

Actually blockchain.info haven't raised their fee all of sudden they calculate recommended fee depending upon your transaction size and currently 90 satoshi/byte transaction is enough to get fastest confirmation. They used to have fix 0.0001BTC fee but that made many transaction to stuck for more than hour or day before, so now they have automatic fee calculation system, but if you don't like to pay high fee you can modify/lower it and wait for few days to get it confirmed.  Wink

It is not from/because of blockchain.info but it is from bitcoin network the transaction fees are raised from them and so on all of bitcoin wallets and exchanges you will need to pay high fees to transact faster and with 0.0002 BTC you will need to wait for a longer period to see completed.

if you send much bitcoin you must incraese fee , if low fee very long confirmation or maybe nathing confirmation and back again your balance
fee send incraese because miner bitcoin need incraese reward
another wallet blockchain is same, you use electrum wallet dekstop fee send same incraese too

I didn't notice about it. I made a transaction days ago, and it went very fast with a medium fee. Less than 10 minutes. Maybe on the day you made the transaction there were many transactions at same time paying higher fees, so you should increase your fees also to finish the transaction faster. But I really didn't notice about any difference between 2 months ago from now.

I have. Made a transaction earlier and I checked https://bitcoinfees.21.co/ for appropriate fees at that time and got 70/byte. I then set my fee to 20k but got medium priority. Transaction size was 321 bytes and it took almost 3 Hours to get a single confirmation. This is the first time I had to wait for hours to get a confirmation.

After change new template I feel Blockchain.info is very slow. My transaction ever need more than a hour for got 1 confirmation and more than 2 hour for got 4 confirmation. Maybe with many user's effects with this condition.

New site template you mean? What is the connection of that thing to the bitcoin network?

Blockchain.info is different from blockchain network. But yes I might agree that confirmation time really slow this past days (with standard fess) tooking about 2 to 3 hours but no worries since Im not in a hurry anyway and as long it take 1 confirmation, surely it will come. And besides that is not the usual happenings sometimes it's quick so no problem at all.
