Why does my Multibit HD bitcoin wallet never show me my full balance after I login.

Currently it's showing BTC0.02 with BTC2.68 unconfirmed.

I know the 0.02 is a withdrawal from changetip and it's the second time the balance was unconfirmed. Last time I repaired the wallet and it was fine but I don't really want to have to do this everytime I check funds or attempt to spend.

What is causing this and how do I resolve it permanently?

Are you saying it shows unconfirmed balance even though you don't actually have a pending transaction, or?  Does the payments tab show anything?

Trusted an exchange that climbed to the top 3 in just under 2 years with your money? you are fucking stupid.

Sorry for the late reply.

Yes, the balance actually shows BTC0.00 now + unconfirmed BTC2.71

As for the payments tab.
The last transactions are from 23 Nov and prior to that 9th Sept.

The transaction overview says Status: Unknown transaction status.

Can you post the tx id of the last transaction?  To get it simply go to the transaction overview and click next twice.  It's under transaction detail.

You've either got your money stolen or have encountered a bug.  If it's the latter then I'd try reinstalling multibit (back up the seed) and/or create a new wallet and transfer all the funds to that wallet.  If none of that works then use another client.

Pretty sure it's a bug. Think Multibit has a problem connecting to the blockchain or whatever.
Didn't really want to switch wallets as I love the UI but obviously if it don't work it's no good and this is the second comment I have seen advising to switch so I might try electrum if I can get it working again.

Edit: I have repaired the wallet again and now it's showing the balance correctly. Please can one of the keepkey guys get this bug fixed or I'm gonna have to switch wallets.
It seems a lot of other people are also having the same issues.

Had similar issue. Had to do alot of repair wallet and restarting but still did not work. This I found out was because the transaction fee was low which was actually set by MultiBit HD. I had to wait for a week for the transaction to be confirmed in the network and then my bitcoin balance in my Multibit changed from unconfirmed also to confirmed.
