no.
it is like that you accept African always changing currency, the only difference is that BTC can inflate not only deflate.
BTC is good only for speculators, therefore it is not only about blockchain, it is about unsteady nature of BTC. therefore wall street managers and investors mixed themselves in bitcoin, because they are speculators. but to change the price of BTC, they must popularize it, advertise it, etc. in other case, people will keep it, instead to use it.

so, shortly:
1) BTC is unsteady
2) mostly speculators use bitcoins and some people who believe in marketing of speculators
3) ordinary people keep it instead to use it, hoping they will make some money from changing the value of BTC
4) newest news about blockchain problem and wall street mo-rons mixed in bitcoins can push away those who started to use bitcoin before 6 years, it is similar effect like when punk became mainstream, true punks refuse green day, green day is for wall street mo-rons and fat American kids (consumers without brain), it is the same with people who started to use bitcoins in the early period, they can go away because of bitcoins developers (foundation) that sold themselves for money.

7) even the creator of bitcoin left the project as I said, developers, foundation, are now rich guys and they are in Washington DC, corrupting, lobbying, etc.

The biggest disadvantage i can see about the Bitcoin is the delay in confirmation and i could see the transaction fees getting higher i future.We need fast transactions for the bitcoin to be a major player in world economics

Hyips that pays hourly that are showing up are contributing on the delay of confirmation on blockchain. They make the blockchain traffic because they are paying their investors every hour. Still many people are still riskying their money on these sites hoping some amounts to earn.

It gets boring. Just waiting for a price increase is not really fun. I know the real fight here is all about patience. Cant wait for those projects that will be started at 2017. That might take out the boredom with all of this.

I personally don't find waiting for the price to go up to be boring at all. Mainly because of the fact that a lot has been happening this year.

In order to avoid getting bored by just hodling your coins, you can also choose to do some trading whilst you have a separate investment for the long term.

If you're understanding the market well enough, then there is a decent amount of profit to be made with trading. Just look at the intensity of the volatility that we have had this year.

But people never seem to be happy. When the price doesn't move, they complain that the market is boring, and when there is volatility, people complain that the market is jumping up and down too much.

that's true, especially because bitcoin is decentralised for everyone to trade 24/7. for an example if the merchants cannot find a method to sell those bitcoins instantly, at this generation, they will risk price drop, you have to understand that the exchange is often too strict to transaction for preventing laundering.

Aside from it cannot be used everywhere but only in few selected places, bitcoin is still young and has not reached even the outskirts of the third world countries. Another thing is its volatility that makes merchants afraid to accept bitcoin due to possible price decrease. And of course the very slow confirmation of bitcoins transactions.

But even at the face of this disadvantages, since bitcoin is still young, there are still more time and more space for development. Hoping in the future these problems are no longer an issue.

Sometimes i think this forum, as useful as it is ofc, is a giant filter bubble.
There are a lot of shops & enterprises, which already use BTC, i'm 100 % aware of this, BUT we are still far, far away from any kind of notable movement, even a lot of students in the CS field as well as professionals never ever heard of BTC or only very little, so what do you think how big is the percentage of the "normie" population ?

Nonetheless there are ways like purse.io or other ventures, which pave already the way for a larger adaptation of the idea, but so far, imho, the BTC community largely consists of tech enthusiasts, some investment-minded people and also some criminals.

No absolute disadvantage that bitcoin really does have right now. What is good for some users arent that good for others. The only thing right now is i think the adoptation. We let us grow the seed that the future life forms food to eat

Any account online can be hacked. Your paypal, perfectmoney, skrillex, and all other online payment service can be hacked. I think that it's even easier to hack those because blockchain wallet (or any other wallet site) supports email 2FA and/or phone 2FA which decreases the chance of the hacker to get inside your account a lot.

Bitcoin really does not have any great disadvantage, except the fact people are trying to find or create one. What you can say is a disadvantage maybe like that it is not known to anyone, or its not used to often, it's transaction are slow at time. Otherwise not really any major disadvantage I can remember so far.

Big disadvantages is the wait times for sending them for their confirmations to complete.
Been happening way too many times lately. To my transactions atleast.
This has got to improve or someone has to create a faster way to have these completed.

Since Bitcoin have no drawbacks but have some programs that are mutch annoying .
The main problem in Bitcoin is confirmation system . I think the first problem of not confirm of transaction should be solve and secondly the transaction reversed ( in recent days ) should be fixed such that , they should never arise.

Somehow, I think that this is actually a positive attribute of bitcoins. It kind of serves as a filter. The people that believe everything about the media says and don't do any effort to do their own research would act as childish as when they get in the bitcoin world. I know that we all deserve to be here but their acts would cause stress to the people around him.

Anyways, that's just how it is. The report of the media is a fact ever since. They're not lying about anything. Bitcoin really is being used in illegal transactions and in the dark net.

Most users quoted the use of bitcoin into gambling and other illegal activities to be the disadvantageous, but I won't go with it because the that's the primary reason for which bitcoin is created. In my view the small mistake in transaction leading the entire amount to reach someone's wallet and the sender not having a return back feature to be the only disadvantage.
