Please post timestamped pics. Also note that you will need to use escrow with your deal or send first, or you will not find a buyer. I would recommend Ognasty.

I wouldn't recommend trading with this user unless he provides a proof that the gold is real /you have a method to verify it.

There is no reason for him to sell 610$ worth of gold for 500$ when he can get a lot more by just going to a local store and selling it.

Pure gold is a something that can be easily sold for atleast stock price, don't be fooled.

Even if he agrees to use escrow, he is a newbie, and might sell you fake gold, trade carefully.

Fake or stolen is the likely answer to your question. If it's a standard piece of gold, then it has no business in this section.

Suspicious as hell, as other users have already pointed out.

Lets see some pictures please, along with a note with your forum username and the current date - and if the gold is hallmarked with the 24ct purity stamp, or 999, then a close up of that would be great as well.

All of that said, you will not get "a deal done ASAP". Escrow will be mandatory for a new user like yourself. I suggest taking this gold to a pawn shop, you will get instant cash. If you want bitcoins, you can then use those funds to buy from an exchange.

Good luck Smiley

I was refereed to this forum from a friend and did not the rules of posting something to sell. But I will definilty not be using this forum again. The gold is not stolen or a scam I got it from my parents as a gift years ago and wanted to get into bitcoin. Thank you for being so rude and assuming the worst.

Sorry about that, but you have to know, many people here come and try to pull scams, so people are MORE than wary, and this is sometimes the result. Anyhow, don't let it turn you off to bitcoin, we're actually mostly nice people, but again, when a deal sounds too good to be true, this can be the result.

I'm sure if you want to stay you could just post pics with your username and date and if the deal goes through, people will trust you more. Thanks.

I will buy it instantly if you are willing to use escrow.   I will release escrow once the gold is verified, which would take me about 1 business day to do.

That's great to hear that you received it and it was good

Sorry to say but the society on Internet is such that no one can be trusted and selling something for 100$ loss easily comes under doubt.
Glad that it worked out well and someone got introduced to Crypto

@OP , it's not bad here but we have to take steps to avoid scams, given there are so many imposters and scammers

Also, people need to realize that getting spot for your PMs isn't always easy or without risk.  If you don't have a reputable dealer that will pay spot and they are becoming rare, then you have to ship your metal to a trusted dealer and that adds cost and risk as well as the need to be banked or willing to deal with a check.

Congrats on the sale Aidan (and rmc - nice score) Smiley and welcome to the forum! Apologies for jumping to conclusions as well, it is just not often a "too good to be true" deal turns out to be legit!

You planning on using your newly acquired BTC for a physical coin by any chance? Grin

Willing to use escrow right?

Read the thread please. This sale is complete.
