This has nothing to do with Electrum;  you have been scammed.  What made you decide to use bitpide?

Since I am seeing lots of threads where people go and directly the first service they see on the internet they use to convert btc to paypal. I think it's needed to tell you the trusted websites which you can do such things in order to not get scammed again.

1. Coinbase (No matter I don't like this as a wallet is very trusted in buying/selling bitcoins if you are a US resident)
2. Bitpanda (Exchange for the European countries, accepts Paypal)
3. Localbitcoins (Worldwide exchange, due your own due diligence and check seller history before doing any trade)

If you want to buy bitcoin with credit/debit card there is this website which covers 9 of best ways to do so.

If 2 posts reflects where you are with Bitcoin, then I am sorry for your loss.  When I started many years ago I was quickly directed to using Escrow approaches, where a trusted party protects both sides of the transaction.  That is available here so check on this site.  Localbitcoins mentioned above also provides that service.  There are some extremely trusted members here, but do your homework.  Welcome to the forum.
