Depends on what game sports you play. I gamble on NBA odds. Usually, I would say that to study a sports match you have to be very meticulous. You have to consider the whole team, including the injured player, player fatigue, home crowd, the coach, etc. You can't just rely on things sports websites like ESPN and Covers tell you. They are just tools. You have to learn the trade. I have the same faith with you. But I blame myself for not giving more time on it since I have a day job and also study at night, so I don't have time to explore every aspect of the game.

in my opinion the first step is knowing the teams and their history. for example i usually bet on esports and mostly on Dota2. in this game i have been familiar with the game, the meta, and the teams that play the tournaments for a couple of years and i know how they were performing in the past. all this can help decide what will happen when they face each other.

the second step is luck. if you do the first step properly then there is only luck that can chance the result and you can do nothing about it.

Actually you could not able to know on when youre luck will be into you. I think youre still good enough since you could able to manage break even for a long period of time. 3 months is already a long time when you do sports betting and this would be my advice, you must adjust or change your ways on how you analyse a certain team which you bet on since you didnt mentioned on which sports you do bet but better to make deep research and news to a team and dont fully really on small odds because it doesnt guaranteed a win anytime.

i'm talking about sport betting not playing dice because sport betting is one of the most popular gambling game and most people more likely bet for this game and i considers sport betting more fair rather than other games because the results is depend how good the particular teams performance to ended the match and i think for dice there is no good strategy for playing this game because the results is depends how luck are you to do so

Considering that all of that months you are not having any single time of winning. As a sports bettor before I place my bet on a match I look up first what would other tipster say of this pick or observe some of their picks from reddit then start from there gather all the information I could get from each user by doing this it really helps me which match to bet on.
