I'm sure there are a number of people concocting various malware that can steal people's wallets.

Even the theft of 0.5% of just general user's wallets would create a large scale panic and greatly devalue BTC in addition to halting further adoption.  It might even cause a 'run' on BTC crashing the price to below mining costs, which would be devastating for the Bitcoin infrastructure.

Just voicing a concern, I'm sorry, but I'm not a programmer.

I'll keep my politics out of your economics if you keep your economics out of my politics.
