Hey guys,

Downloaded Multibit 0.4.1 (HD, I guess?) a year ago. Created the wallet, and pulled my BTC off of Cryptsy (for obvious reasons), and with my Multibit wallet in hand, there my BTC have remained comfortably tucked away in reclusion throughout 2016. And then, yesterday when I opened up my Multibit wallet as I occasionally do just to admire my good fortune and ensure nothing is amiss ... I find something is amiss. My year old BTC balance that has had absolutely zero activity in the entire year of 2016 is suddenly unconfirmed (says Multibit) - and I have no access to my BTC!

Screen shots are here

The BTC is still there, it's all good on the blockchain, but Multibit won't let me access my coins! And to add insult to injury, it appears Multibit just happens to not have a way for me to export my private key.

Any ideas on this?

Matt

The only ones who can help are the Keepkey guys. They are running Multibit from quite some time now.

Keep in mind that other bugs took a really long time to be fixed from them, i.e unconfirmed transactions.

If it is HD why don't you use your seed to restore this wallet in another PC to see if it helps, you have to try everything in this situation of yours. That's the max I can say to help you. Almost forgot, switching to Electrum after you solve your problem will be a very good step for you until the Keepkey guys decide to do a much better work that the one they have done until now.

I have been having the same issue for a week or so now.
I repaired the wallet and it was ok for a day but then the balance went unconfirmed again.

I see you have another thread with almost identical problem. Based on such circumstances until the Keepkey guys do some serious work to repair all these flaws and bugs I highly recommend you to switch to Electrum as soon as you can.

Try repairing the wallet again and once the balance shows confirmed send it to the Electrum wallet. Maybe not as good looking UI as the Multibit HD but definitely better functionality and better developer team behind it (Thomas V and Abdusammad both users of the forum as far as I know).

Same here. Our bitcoin are being held hostage. I have no idea how to get them out.
