There is lots of opinion and skepticism about ASIC mining devices. This post is seeking to separate the fact from fiction.
I'd like to hear only from those individuals who are actually mining with such a device, if indeed there be any.
If you still doubt the existence of ASICs out there in the wild, please explain the single users at
https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=rankingsthat sport over 600 GH/s or more?
Please provide details about your device such as:
What company made it?
Avalon (the only company up to date that actually delivered an ASIC product for sale, you can also buy shares in ASICminer but they currently host their own equipment, they don't sell it yet)
bASIC went belly up before being able to produce a sample and BFL has up to date only shown a movie of a crippled device running at a low speed, consuming way more power than expected (completely in line with the expectations from how they messed up their FPGA introduction). Oh and they are currently 6 months over time, people paid in July and expected
delivery in October...
How long did delivery of your device take?
Ordered end of September 2012, delivered 1st week of March
How many M/hash /s does it produce
66 GH/s @282 MHz, 72 GH/s @300 MHz
And what did it cost you.
