http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157617  (sorry, canadian link)

$85CAD, and as far as i can tell it would handle 3x GPU mining. (Pretty good considering that a celeron+6gpu mobo can run more than 2x that)

24" PCI-E cables with 16AWG wires and stripped ends - great for server PSU mods, best prices https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=563461

That's too expensive for a 3 GPU board, i got a nice 6 GPU board for $50 USD. It's an FM2 board by Asrock, don't know the exact model, but i got it on ebay.

WITH a cpu already onboard?

Well yeah it's still too expensive. Look at future. You probably want to put more than 3 GPUs (you have to in order to make some profit...) and if you buy this board you are going to need whole new system for them. Isn't if much more profitable to buy better motherboard and cheap as cpu now for a few more bucks ? I don't think 20-30$ is going to make much more difference if you want to invest in mining

There is a $15 rebate on this currently so it would only $69.99 CAD (~$52 USD) which is not bad. You can then also use a cheaper PSU.
I haven't done any math but it might be worth it.

This assumes that 3 GPUs will run on it.

I am lazy and won't do new builds with new mobos.

But if you build that I think you would like it.

3 rx 470s use about 300 watts so you could use a 500 watt cheaper psu.

It is a m size so it is compact. If I want more builds I might try that.

I tried a 3 GPU rig using a similar mobo with integrated CPU, which I found for $70CAD.  Had it worked, the cost was comparable to a 6GPU rig but I could never get the 3rd GPU working properly.

I had to take the 3rd GPU and put it in my kids computer.  Now he has 2 Rx470.

Don`t go for ANY integrated solution, those chipset are not designed for multi GPU usage, even three cards can be a problem, get some cheap proven mainboards with AM3 or H81, or get some AM2+/H61 used mainboard with 3+ PCI-e slots

some good responses on here.

figured id address the "go with a 5-6gpu capable mobo" first - ive done that, and IMO its the way to go for management reasons. however, it usually needs a $80 mobo and $60 CPU. This *might* handle 3gpus for about half the cost

additionally, not everyone wants or can afford 6gpu, or has other reasons not to (such as having some 2xx cards that wont mix with the 4xx series).

Confirm, this MoBo are working with 2 GPUs maximum. It doesn't boot with 3 GPUs connected.
