I made a mistake by initially transferring way too much bitcoins to this new/first Facebook-wallet. Should have made trialing with 1/10th of the amounts. But what is done is done, I probably lost 700 mBC for good.

https://apps.facebook.com/bitcoin-tx

Deposit was success, everything looked simple and quite ok. I made few transactions and they seemed to be fine, until today I noticed my blockchain wallet balance was too low.
I started sorting it out and noticed that the 700 mBC withdraw from FB-TX to blockchain wallet was Not successful! The 0.7btc was deducted from FB-TX balance, but there's not a trace about that transaction in blockexplorer: https://blockchain.info/address/1EHTSdiFYYpjJS9sydCuGzGM52atmbURh3 (there's only that 40 mBC test-transaction I just made few moments ago from FB-TX).

Can't even find out any information of the app developer(s) so I could contact them and ask what is going on.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Sorry but I think you might have lost the coins.

Next time, use clients where you can control the private keys to. Blockchain.info or Electrum are both light.

seems the app is not legit. its a wallet belonging to a thief that randomly steals coins from people.

as the other poster said, stick with legit wallets. especially if the developer doesn't want reveal themselves or give you the ability to play with the private keys breaks atleast two of the basic rules even noobs should know when and be wary of when using bitcoin services.

EDIT: Agreed with others, if it was legit app, it would definitely be classed as a great app.. just a shame its run by scum.

might be worth reporting it to facebook they have a rogue app. then get someone with a heart and a brain to come forward and develop a legit version

Hello bitcointalk users,
I am the creator of this application and just yesterday signed up on this forum. After a search for 'bitcoin-tx,' I came across this post.

Although I have provided multiple avenues to communicate any problems (email, github, reddit), I was never directly contacted about this problem.

The erroneous transaction occurred within the first 24 hours of me taking the application live and the bug in the implementation to blockchain.info's API has since been fixed. I removed this 0.7 BTC transaction from this user's history and his balance has been restored. I sent him a PM last night to notify him but have not received a response. Hopefully he posts in this thread to verify my action.

If you have any problems, please contact me first and see if I can sort it out.

If you are using the application, please give it a nice rating so that it can be included in the facebook app center search directory soon. Facebook does not specify exactly how many ratings are required but apparently the 5 I currently have are not enough.

App center page with terms of service and links to contact: https://www.facebook.com/appcenter/bitcoin-tx

Thank you
