I was active in this community back in 2014 and back then 'anonymity' features were the hottest thing in town.

What are the hottest features or what features differentiate a good altcoin from a shitcoin right now?

You do not get it. The people are now starting to realize that bitcoin is the only coin that is worthy to be held as a store of value. So if I was asked what features I am looking for in an altcoin, I would say simplicity, speed, scalability and anonymity. Plus a blockchain that does not bloat too quickly.

All altcoins claim to have the features that will change the world but they have not solved the simple issues that limit bitcoin.

Your opinion is completely opposite to mine, First of all i want the feature of "Anonymity" to avoid money laundering case and at the same time, my life will be safe if i have a lot of money in my wallet. And ICO is the modern way on investing now, It will make the project strong and not easily to destroy. The monthly dividend is a good idea. I think Altcoin that pure POW is an old skul type and will not withstand the dumping and it will die soon.

You may think anonymity is not important today because you might be neglecting the fact the fungibility will become a critical feature for all cryptocoins in the future. The evolution of all in the cryptosphere is going towards this and this is one of the foundations of crypto, correct? To hide something thru encryption. It could be the same for cryptocoins.

In my mind, The pseudonymous was already enough. I don't wish more about it. I think fermat was being a good example for your interest ICO. Because the chance for to be a scam purpose was getting reduce in my mind.

Just remove those promises or disclaimers that their crypto launched will make people rich someday or will jump out quickly in a conclusion that all in all, coins will be great for making money. They must care for the development of the coin at any cost and not to make money as the main purpose why it was launched.

Also when pump happened and hype began to minimize after that, Devs must still intact with the project and don't ever let it go just because it established a low volume.

Altcoin with the good anonymity is also in demand from altcoin users. Another important point is fast and simple transfers. But of course Nr.1 point is price growing, because then users can make some fast profit.

In my opinion anonymity feature is already common for most currencies out there on which most coins do claim that they have anonymity feature and some have other features which isnt present to another one which could able to get the interest on some investors or people.Just like what other members said here one thing matter the most for me besides anonymity is the accurate transfer of money from person to person.

The main objective of the people is to make money but the problem here is all crypto's are failing at some point because bitcoin price is not all stagnant. When bitcoin price increases really many people hesitate to buy because of high price, even many dev are also not showing any development in the project. Added anonymity is the big talk of the town and of course more upgraded asic mining equiptment,but the hotest thing now are the ICO,every day a new ICO is being launched where dev premine the coins and offer it to sell at a much lower price in exchange for the development of the coin and it's usage.

How about establishing from the get-go a denomination implementation/convention/name scheme that resembles the dominant reserve currencies of today (USD, EUR, etc.) instead of decimal places that only tech geeks could decipher? Decimals are daunting enough for most people but to break them down further and giving fancy schmancy tech names (micro this, milli that, etc.) for every few decimal places is not conducive to mainstream adoption. For example:

Bitcoin:

Instead of:

XBT 1.00000000 (1 BTC)

Why not:

XBT 1,000,000.00 (1 million BTC similar to USD 1,000,000.00)
XBT 0.99 sats or satoshis (Why not use the familiar "cents" here?)

Monero:

Instead of:

XMR 1.000000000000 (1 XMR)

Why not:

XMR 10,000,000,000.00 (10 billion XMR similar to USD 10,000,000,000.00)
XMR 0.99 pons or ponies (Just made that up but again, why not use "cents" here?)

Any fraction of XBT/XMR 0.01 could be rounded to it just like with reserve currencies (i.e. $0.01538 = $0.02; $0.01437 = $0.01). As far as implementing this particular aspect at the protocol level, I dunno; I'm not a coder.

In other words, start with a very simple convention pair (i.e. XBT unit/satoshis or cents; XMR unit/ponies or cents -- similar to USD unit/cents).

Any nickname for certain denominations should organically evolve from the community or the public in general just like how it developed with the reserve currencies (buck, quid, grand, Benjamin, Lincoln, etc.). Perhaps:

XBT 1,000,000.00 (1 BTC) = a "Nakamoto"

XMR 10,000,000,000.00 (1 XMR) = a "Fluffy"

...and so on and so forth.

Me, I gotsta say stability.  I don't want none them coins that end up at zero after a month.  You all traders like those, but they garbage to me.  I jist tend to stick wit' bitcoin.  All them others leave me col'.  But faster network time is a good thing.  Bitcoin do be laggin' in that.

The only feature that stokes my flame is an enormous user base.  That is what will kill all of these shitcoins.  People aren't going to have the passion they had for them in 5-10-20 years, and there won't be any miners or anyone even wanting to use the coins.  Bitcoin is good like that.  If people have heard of crypto, they've likely heard of bitcoin exclusively.  Some of these coins have fanatics, like DOGE, but I don't have high hopes for a lot of them.

So I we need to make buy sell then we are insisted to make deal in Bitcoin only than we can purchase other altcoin .
So there should a better thing in altcoin that it can be converted into any altcoin without going through Bitcoin .

I am thinking that all the altcoins have the same property like to make buy/sell with Bitcoin or other with doller directly exchange site .
But I think the trader only making purchase of that altcoin which is much famous/popular because every trader knows that if he will buy inactive coin than it would take much time to get Profit or may be the price can't rise up and go Down .

Even bitcoin still isn't a thing and only a few hundred thousands of more than 7B population of the world are into bitcoin and 10% of them actually are into altcoins, they are more like a bad joke if you ask me and seems people already know that but they are not much caring about it as long as they can develop a new and totally unneeded altcoin and trick the new comers to invest their hard earned money so that they can have their pockets filled with cash.
