My career has encompassed every aspect of design, image and marketing for the entertainment industry. I earned my BFA from Art Center College of Design in 1993 and have worked in both New York and Los Angeles for many of the major media companies including CBS, Miramax, VH1, BCBG/Max Azria, MTV Networks, Disney, Sony Computer Entertainment America (PlayStation), etc. In my most recent full time position as Senior Broadcast Design/Art Director for CBS promo in Los Angeles, I was responsible for the redesign and packaging of the UPN brand as well as production and postproduction of mondo shoots for on-air promos. This opportunity allowed me to work closely with Ron Scalera (SVP Advertising and Promotion, CBS) and Meccanica, in addition to gaining extensive project management and production experience. Other projects that I have managed from conception to completion include direction of talent for shoots, trailers, main titles, on-air promos, show opens and closes, corporate identity, event packages, graphic identity packages, marketing collateral and advertisements. I am familiar with all aspects of production including post-production. I am willing to travel domestically as well as internationally.
Skills:
I have expert knowledge in all major design software, in addition to possessing sharp design and technical skills. I possess journeyman knowledge of the Adobe Suite of motion graphic software; have been using After Effects since it was CoSA 1.0. I am well versed in all the supplementary programs and platforms that go along with the motion graphic design process, and I am very good at directing and leading projects through all phases and platforms. I am also an experienced photographer and possess expert knowledge of photographic theory, cinematography and story telling.
