How you distribute the contest prize?Are you going to select only one lucky person?you should explain how you select a winner and the prize pool as well.
I recommend you should use escrow because the prize money is big.

1BTC is nice prize but you better escrow that amount or atleast show where those fund you have stored with signed message of you being real owner of that address. Also you need to explain detail regarding how you gonna pick winner, my suggestion is to have 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize with those 1BTC distributed in 50, 30 and 20% respectively.

Why you're afraid to use escrow? there are many trusted and reputable members here that can escrow your funds, your funds are safety unless you are not doing badly.

I think many members will be join on your campaign once you escrow the funds.
