Maybe the site was not ready or the sudden volatility caused by China. The biggest and sudden fluctuations in price that has raised bitcoin to more than 1000$ in few moments have also decreased in a very fast way. Possibly that has caused losses to the site that it had to cancel or postpone their launch. But lets wait this year if they will launch.

I would say it's more like up to 11 months.
In his statement it is written that they are looking for a beta launch later this year.
So this can already be in june, july or whatever.
Or probably never when you check his history! Cheesy
That dude is a typical pumper with a big mouth and that's mostly it.Never ever what I have invested a single penny, satoshi in one of his projects.

Kim Dotcom should remember that he is being accused by the U.S. Department of Justice for criminal copyright infringement, in addition to other serious charges. His new venture (Mega) is also attracting a lot of unwanted attention. Either this guy should immigrate to some country which doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US, or stay away from this business.

In the end KimDotcom will have to implement a counter party token to make this successful, because SegWit and the Lightning Network will not be implemented for at least the next 2 to 3 years. I cannot see how this will work without these upgrades or going the off-chain route.

He cannot use centralized services for the off-chain option, because these services will get taken down, once this is linked to his service. ^hmmmmmm^

Are you suggesting that Kimdotcom start a ponzi to get Bitcache going? Who says that Segwit then the Lightning Network will be implemented if we wait 2 or 3 years more? Segwit may not get activated at all. If that happens what do you suggest Kimdotcom do?

Your suggestion is bad.
