Order placed on 2012-11-04 02:08:41
Order # 12315
Selling price: 65 BTC

BFL has stated that this unit should ship within 2-4 weeks.  I will send it via USPS Express Shipping if in the USA or USPS Priority International if outside of the USA.  The cost includes shipping.  They stated that this should give anyone at least a two month lead on orders placed with them today.

E-mail is best.

Thanks!
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Just get out of here.

That should sum up the sentiment of what the following people are going to tell you to do.

Haha, seriously?  Why wouldn't I ask that much?  I'm only asking 0.32 BTC more than I paid for it!  That isn't asking much considering that I've been waiting for going on 6 months, is it?

What would an appropriate price be then?  Why should I accept less than I paid for it?  That doesn't make any sense now does it?

I don't have much faith in anything BFL has to say. 65BTC is pretty steep. You should consider cutting the asking price in half for starters. Good luck with your venture.

Actually you paid around $649 plus shipping i believe. It is my understanding that your BTC was converted at the time of purchase to USD since that is what the units are actually priced in. You can probably get double what the current USD value of that unit is, but anymore will be hard to find.

IIRC, in those six months, Bitcoins went up a bit in value.

When you ordered:
2012-11-04 00:00:00   10.6425   10.9   10.51002   10.80011   16750.34   178761.66   10.67
65 * 10.6425 = $691.76

Now:
2013-04-08 00:00:00   162.30102   194.9   162.59806   186.21339   113681.98   20630323.75   181.47
65 * 162.30 = $10,549.5

At least you're offering free shipping.  Roll Eyes

I would be willing to pay you the actual USD price you paid for it, even willing to throw in a extra 100 bucks.

65 bitcoins... If it did 1 Th/s maybe...

To be fair, the OP isn't lying. BFL, though...

To the OP: do you include a free unicorn that shits gold? Because then I'd be interested.

Oh. I hadn't read this. Whatever other lies BFL have told, they've never claimed some special magical shipping sauce that'll give you a lead over other orders placed at the same time. Which makes me think you may not be entirely trustworthy, here.

I'm afraid I'm going to need TWO unicorns.

No, but I could try to find a Leprechaun if you want one.  Anyhow, I posted this mostly out of frustration than anything else.  I should have just paid USD rather than BTC, but it's been done and BTC is now over $210.  I would say it mostly has to do with the new funds opening up specifically for Bitcoin and also the Cyprus issue.

Anyhow, realistically, I'm communicating with BFL to see if I can upgrade to the Single SC unit and the upgrade should only cost about 3-4 BTC.  So I could then probably stomach the overall cost a bit better...

you do realize that people could have gotten batch 3 avalons (with 63 GH/s) for 10 BTC more, right?

It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

I'll pay you what you paid for it (sub-$700), plus 0.42btc, a little extra for your trouble.
See, wasnt all that hard was it, now everyone is happy and you profit too. No need to thank me.

Haha, seriously?  If I was to do that we would have to have a notarized contract fully enforceable in the courts.

Wow, bitcoin is near $240, but I'm holding at the price of 65 BTC!  Haha, this is really just getting nuts, but I truly do hope they ship in the next 2-4 weeks and I hope this darn little thing will be able to pay for itself.  Meaning it will have to generate 65 BTC before I consider it even.  Any ideas on how long that will take?  I'm thinking 1-2 years.
