deliver first before payment we deal!  Grin

Haha, seriously?  If I was to do that we would have to have a notarized contract fully enforceable in the courts.

Wow, bitcoin is near $240, but I'm holding at the price of 65 BTC!  Haha, this is really just getting nuts, but I truly do hope they ship in the next 2-4 weeks and I hope this darn little thing will be able to pay for itself.  Meaning it will have to generate 65 BTC before I consider it even.  Any ideas on how long that will take?  I'm thinking 1-2 years.
A. I do not believe you bought one... this statement proofs it.
B. You are a moron and anybody dealing with you, should make 1000% sure they have the ASIC in their hands before paying you anything. (whether it is in USD or BTC)

I was intending to get you full USD + a hundred or maybe even two extra, since you wanted to get off it so bad... and there is still a 50/50 chance BFL will just not deliver... Now... I want to see your ASIC before even offering anything...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

3 BTC for one of these miners?  You are out of your mind.  Even if you converted it to USD (not sure why you would anyhow), it would take at least 13 BTC to even get the same price as what I paid.  And BFL has doubled their prices meaning it would take around 26 BTC to get a similar product delivered in about 3-4 months.  65 BTC is reasonable considering everything.

Look, you're not getting your order in 2-4 weeks. You're not getting it in 3-4 months. BFL hasn't shipped a single unit. There are 6 months of orders ahead of yours. Of course you realize this, which is why you're trying to get rid of your pre-order.

OP. If BTC crashed to $1 a coin tomorrow, you would reject someone paying 65 BTC for it.

Stop trying to work it in your favor the other way. The only thing that matters is the fiat equivalent for whatever price you decide you want to sell at, and what you bought at.

If you're in the early batch, post a pict of your order receipt with the order number on it.

Here's how I know the OP is full of it...

Quote
Order placed on 2012-11-04 02:08:41
Order # 12315
Selling price: 65 BTC

BFL has stated that this unit should ship within 2-4 weeks.

Couple of things.  First, why did you include the time in hours, minutes, and seconds of when the order was placed.  That information is not on the pdf receipt I got with my order.  Only the order number and the date.

Next.. you don't know that order number 12315 will ship with the first batch in 2-4 weeks.  You could have 1000's of orders ahead of yours.  Also, look at the 1/3 shipment part of the faq:

I am in the same camp. That is, whilst they are not shipping, I am not ordering. This is what everybody should be doing.

So what's the TX ID? Surely you won't mind posting a signed message with the receiving address to prove to us we're all wrong in doubting you, right?

Why is this so controversial?  The ASICminer 10GH devices sold at auction for 74+ BTC each.  This has 3X the performance, and sold for less, and that isn't believable?

Given the uncertainty surrounding BFL, the actual date you'd acquire it, the difficulty at the time, the risk of scams and the going rate... no, it's not believable.

ASICminer has a physical product that exists and works. BFL doesn't have anything yet.
