i am always skeptical about these types of stats. i mean look at it the bets are all either 24BTC or 48BTC and the sites says that he has lost 216BTC who the hell loses 165,000 USD on gambling online?

you have to either be filthy rich and don't care about that kind of money that you easily lose or you have to be a hacker like bitfinex hacker with thousands of bitcoin to burn!!!
You all are right.  Could definitely be a gambling addled hacker, or it could even be onna them early early adopters who was still hodlin' after buying at 50 cents.  I kinda agrer that mosta these huge gamblers tend ta go in person to the casinos.  At least that how they portrayed on the YouTube vidz I seen.

I would be happy to hold 1/4 amount of money in Bitcoins how much this player has lost. I am in shocked to see how some people can go this way. This gambler may own much more money still but this is amount which no one can forget or afford to loose easily. It has been reality but he/she surely is crying over his loss being such greedy. It is another example that in gambling nothing is sure.

all of us would be happy if we have quarter amount of btc of what he had lost lol he must be really owning too much amount of money we can see it in his loss Grin i don't what the hell is going to his mind to put a such huge amount of btc to sport betting If I were him I will save those Btc because with the same amount I can already buy my own properties especially a house and even a car Grin

Hahaha , this you are telling because you dont hold that much or 10% of it , but it may be that the loser have more then what he lost and he is having all facilities in life , so this amount of bitcoin lost is just like peanut for him. But i think it may also be the same fake slips also as most of the sports betting bitcoin sites have restriction of betting maximum btc limit and he is betting so high btc. I feel some thing fishy because if the bets would have won him then the site owner will come with terms and conditions of betting maximum limit above.

I'm thinking that he has plan to commit suicide now. Because of his crazy betting that will end up his addiction unless he is one of the most rich guy that holds thousands of bitcoin. If he is one of it, then that 216 BTC is just nothing to him and thinks that he has donated that to nitrogensports.eu but still that lose is regretting most of us.

Even thought he losing that huge amount, i'm not sure if he did that just only for stop his addiction in gambling. We don't know about his bet previously in gambling, maybe he already won more than 216BTC or maybe that's just "normal" bet for him.

Yes maybe that's just a normal bet for him either that he just won that amount from his previous games. But still, that's really a wrong move that you will play YOLO with that big amount. 1-5 bitcoin is quite acceptable if you will do that but with hundreds of bitcoin. Well that is a different, you can do a lot of things with that amount, still we don't have idea for his intention.

Afaik that was just his profits from nitro even if he lost all that money he mentioned that he still walked away with pretty huge profit from nitro. You could also check some of his old wins here. This was his last comment from reddit after the loss.

Quote
Yes, I stopped betting after those horrible losses because I had no bitcoin left and I told myself I would not purchase more bitcoin just to bet it. I was playing with house money for a while and walked away with ~$300,000 in profit from nitro. It was very dumb of me to go all in that day, but since I had liquidated $300K already I took a "go all in or nothing" approach as all the winning got to my head. I moved on to daily fantasy sports and so far have made a good amount (about $100K as of today). That's where I'm at now. Smiley

216 bitcoin is a very huge amount in any country and you may not be able to live a luxurious life by it is a good life with that kind of money in all countries. and someone who has 166 thousand dollars to burn like this surely has a lot more where that came from and lives a comfortable life.

i am always skeptical about these types of stats. i mean look at it the bets are all either 24BTC or 48BTC and the sites says that he has lost 216BTC who the hell loses 165,000 USD on gambling online?

you have to either be filthy rich and don't care about that kind of money that you easily lose or you have to be a hacker like bitfinex hacker with thousands of bitcoin to burn!!!

Who loses that kind of money on online gambling you say? Well him and many others, I see people losing hundreds of btc on dice sites. Gamblers are gamblers and they need help.

Especially the rich people, I have seen few people gamble like crazy with daily wager of over 50 BTC sometimes. Yeah, this here is biggest wager and loss i have seen a sports betting, that too in a single day. Why do people even gamble so much even if they can afford to lose it, its just way too much money to just waste on gambling.

all of us would be happy if we have quarter amount of btc of what he had lost lol he must be really owning too much amount of money we can see it in his loss Grin i don't what the hell is going to his mind to put a such huge amount of btc to sport betting If I were him I will save those Btc because with the same amount I can already buy my own properties especially a house and even a car Grin

I tell you the fact, that money could sustain quite a number of people and even 1/4 of it could mean the end of poverty for quite a number of people but the issue is we are all shouting as a result of the loss but we will be happy if he had won it. In the real sense, you cant win it unless someone else lost it. The irony of gambling.

That certain perspective doesn't even have a good chance of being think by that certain gamblers. Other than that is one is still really unbelievable, I serious problem in the system i would say or a part of propaganda to invoke that this certain sites can accommodate a huge amount of betting

We cant really do a thing about it since its his decision to bet like that even most people would really say that betting style is insane and losing such big amount on a particular day does really hurts on my own side and I suppose that man is already aware on that kind of situation maybe hes too rich to make those bettings like that but I cant really comprehend that kind of amount since I could able to buy a mini car on that bitcoin.

Damn, that's a lot of dough! Like everybody here said, probably that guy has plenty of bitcoins to burn on gambling or he's filthy rich. I don't even gamble 0.001. LOL. If this happened to me then I'd probably just kill myself. $160,000 would already be retirement fund for me and I would not have to work another day in my life if I had that money.

You don't know the person who lost that. Maybe it's just not a lot of money for him, could be an early adopter or just a rich person.
Plus you also don't know if that person gambles regularly or if this is just a one time thing.

Too many assumptions being made imo, some people can gamble just for fun, without getting addicted.
