Hi,

I'm going to build a mining rig and was wondering if it is feasible to install 4 x XFX hd7970 ghz cards on one mobo.  I haven't seen a 4 way setup anywhere but if it is possible, what would be the recommended mobo for such a setup? Also will multiple cards on a mobo slow overall performance vs. 1 card per motherboard?

thanks all.

Heat dissipation becomes so painful that I gave up on sticking more than 2 cards in a rig.

The power supply you then need is also so much bigger.  It is a mess.

Seriously read up before you invest, we are currently at something like 80k mh/s right now.

Even a serious 4 card setup like that is going to net you something like 1 -2 BTC a month, with your power probably costing almost the same or more.

I mean nothing wrong with some mining, but don't go dropping all your money into it expecting to see good gains.

Just saiyan yo.
