Strange armory behaviour

I am aware that I have to let bitcoind be synced up before using armory.
This happened, I had left my netbook on and armory was up and running, I forgot to plug the netbook to the electricity and offcourse it went into hibernation.
When I woke the machine up armory was there and it allowed me to send funds from one wallet to another wallet.
Well I turned it off and shut down the netbook.
Today when I turn on the netbook, wait till bitcoind is synced and then armory syncs and the transaction did go through and the wallet balances updated to reflect the movement of funds.
