Mods, if this is in the wrong place, please move accordingly.

I am getting very worried. I sent 1 btc to my coinbase account to confirm everything was working correctly. After Coinbase received the 1 btc, I sent 99 btc from my bitcoin qt to my coinbase account 34 blocks ago and nothing is showing up. not on coinbase, not on blockchain.info, nowhere.

details from bitcoin qt:
Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 4/8/2013 17:18
To: 1815a42vKLe5kxRgxwCUpKhAajiVzG4gsH
Debit: -99.00 BTC
Net amount: -99.00 BTC
Transaction ID: 211ddb734a6161510130118e1818f9781c2efa6b87f9f2dc488f62e62ab6f858

is this normal? I am 100% I sent the btc to my own account. What is going on.

Running into this problem for the first time, please help! What do I do?

According to the log that is 0 confirmations, not 34. It just means your tx hasn't been placed in a block yet. The network is probably overwhelmed right now.

Trust me, you will not lose your coins.

Did you pay a fee?

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

proudhon:

i did not pay a fee, but I still expected this to go through before 37 blocks. is this even normal without a tx fee for 37 blocks? that seems extreme.

overall, no faith in the system is lost. Although I do have many more grey hairs. And proudhon, you'd like this, I sent them to sell. SELL.

You are lucky it's just 37 blocks. Some people wait days and more without fees.
