Hi all,

There is a lot of talk about LTC coming to MtGox. I have no information, whether MtGox would do so in due time, and I am not willing to enter into the rumoring that is going on. I just want your opinion, since being able to trade LTC through MtGox may have serious impact on the price of BTC as well, as BTC holders may be pulling out money from BTC into LTC. (On the price effect on LTC : please see the other poll).

Give your best shot at your vote,
Willy

It will affect the BTC/LTC rate but there's no reason why BTC will decline in USD terms.

It could be more interesting, if LTC wasn't added. I would be a shock LTC, massive sales... it could push BTC even higher...

I expect LTC prices shoot up (similar to what BTC is doing now), I wish I could pick some up but I can't right now.

They will be worth 10x what they're worth now in a week, if not less.

Mt.Gox LTC/USD + LTC/BTC charts are primed on crytpocoincharts.info. They clearly know something we don't, but this probably means LTC on gox real soon.

This is great. Now people will be able to "take profits of the table" in other cryptocurrencies rather than in dollars or euros.

My bet is LTC will rise, BTC won't budge.

Looks like someone made a fake website to start rumours in the trollbox.

I belive thats impossible to measure, but after a while there might be a positive effect on BTC.

At first it will take some cash out of BTC, but in the long run it's symbiotic.
Once you have LTC established some people will cash out to LTC instead to USD if there is a panik. This will lead to more trust in crypto in general so btc will rise even more on USD. LTC/BTC is impossible to predict.

I would think there would be a slight distraction of the current marketplace funds to diversify into LTC.

The chances of it going down are low. I've seen other exchange sites that offer almost all alternative coins, and the price of btc/usd differs only 1-2% than mtgox.
Possible even higher rates for both.

The BTC/LTC rate may change slightly to adjust, but BTC should not be effected much.
