I have been trying to keep and eye on announcements section but I dont see any particular place where one can find information on newer (legit or semi legit coins - not bleep coins) that can be mined for better profits (even for short term). Can there be a thread where we can add such coins in one place with the algorithm that those coins are using with dates of POW start etc.
Thank you

Many people here including me stopped looking at Announcement section for quite some time. There are just so many coins that are copy/paste scam coins. Real coins that have some potential will attract investors and if they do you will hear about them for sure. Don't waste your time looking at announcements.

I still waiting for coin, where bussiness would be willing buy miners hashpower for their needs... (something like with coins bussiness can add work to blockchain, miners execute that and get coins for that) For now there is no profitable bussiness algo, so bussiness have no need or just there is no algo what could do what bussiness need

I'm still subbed but yeah, can confirm, nothing valuable for miners ever comes out of that section anymore. Just an endless see of copy paste ASIC coins and ICOs for degenerate gamblers.

Yeah, Spread is really undervalued, but more coins for us I guess. But then again development is very slow on that one.

Yeah, Spread is really undervalued, but more coins for us I guess. But then again development is very slow on that one. I like this SPReadcoin (SPR) with very low supply, only 20M coins. It has many potential to become big,I hope it will get notice from big time trader as there are still big potential to grow.

I checked and there are TONS of huge million $ market caps coins which are going to be released soon.
Only problem... they are POS. You can't mine them. Most coins these days are all going the POS route. POW is slowly dying away.

It's not as much as PoW is dying (especially with cheap renewable energy around the corner) but more new people are getting into crypto and people generally being greedy and lazy, PoS appeals to them.

I would say Nexus is highly undervalued. Many new features never seen in other coins, and a very active dev team constantly improving the coin and communicating one on one with users. There are separate mining channels for both CPU and GPU mining, and CPU mining is actually very reasonable considering there aren't any GPU's to compete with.

Monero and Lbry have been around for quite a while. Depending on your specific hardware setup, they occasionally spike up enough to be "most profitiable" - but usually not for very long at a time.

I'm new here... but everyone's talking about stupid(by name and offer) coins or coins with no security. You have to search for a better and high potential coin. I'm investing in a coin that is ready to enter the market and has a great offer for company's (so another big potential).. I made some good, strong profits.

I wouldn't say POW is dying. There are now more miners than ever. Yeah for someone with huge capital POS might me more appealing but generally if you want your coin to succeed you want it to be noticed by both traders and miners.

Miners don't really increase a coins value, if anything they get selling pressure because most need to sell the coin to pay for the GPUs+Electricity.

It is painful to sift through the ANN section because the thread titles pretty much are all the same thing. Too difficult to sift through them and actually find anything new because loads of stuff over 10 pages are always bumped up. I'd like to be a first day miner on one with potential but It's too hard to spot one that fast.

Bitcoin mining is the process of adding transaction records to Bitcoin's public ledger of past transactions. This ledger of past transactions is called the block chain as it is a chain of blocks. The block chain serves to confirm transactions to the rest of the network as having taken place.
