At a time when the Government is looking to push people towards digital mediums for transactions, many of the asset classes such as real estate are still stuck in a cash centric world. Add to this, the volatility of the stock markets today is something that keeps many investors at bay. However, there is a digital asset which has been increasingly gaining popularity among investors -- Bitcoin.

A cryptocurrency introduced in 2009 by Satosh Nakamoto whose price solely depends on demand and supply.

Sandeep Goenka, COO and Co-founder of Indian bitcoin exchange company Zebpay says that the value of the bitcoin has increased from around $300 last year to now over $700. He says that with demonetisation there has been a sudden growth in interest in bitcoins.

Congrats Zebpay for the milestone achieved of 500 crore turnover. This is really a significant success achieved in a country where bitcoin is not gained momentum though way to go for India in coming times. This is a significant news regarding bitcoin in India and with the recent demonetization from which people are really struggling to get money out of their own account bitcoin will be the place for investment for most of the people atleast for the business class. A turnover of over 500 crore is a huge thing and i can understand with the recent price value of over thousand dollar in the Indian exchange about the demand.

Why do you have to compare with others, do you compare everything whatever you get it for yourself from other country? If you want to invest or trade or for business purpose for that matter if the buy/sell in India then it should not affect much because if buying is high then even selling rate will be better, though sometimes demand/supply will make it widespread.

If we have higher prices, then I think you should take it as a benefit and not as a disadvantage.
The higher prices are because of demonetization and they will remain there until banks are full with cash again.
