When engaging with the the Bitcoin economy, most people have to also deal with the fiat banking system -- getting fiat into an exchange, getting fiat out, etc. Users see these two banking systems side by side everyday.
That experience drives home the benefits of bitcoin. How much time is wasted waiting for International Wires to clear, for ACH deposits to clear, for funds to be released? It is maddening!
Compare that to the experience of moving, say, from LTC to BTC on BTC-E, then transfering to Mt. Gox then on to another exchange. It's effortless. No paperwork, no disclosures, no forms. And you wait maybe an hour per hop, often less.
Once you go to bitcoin banking you never want to go back. Fiat banks seem like slo-motion (and expensive!) dinosaurs.
