New Bitcoin Wallet Features Plausible Deniability

Bitcoiners worry about this, too. On forums where enthusiasts of the cryptocurrency hang out, a popular refrain for some is: “if someone had a gun to your head, you’d probably give up your bitcoin wallet private key.”

Fair enough. But a particular bitcoin hardware wallet, which boasts some of the space’s most experienced coders, thinks it has found somewhat of a technical solution to this age-old conundrum.

The wallet, Digital Bitbox, features plausible deniability as part of its operations. So, what if a government, bully or cold-blooded criminal tries to force you to open your bitcoin wallet?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I very much enjoy what are called "hidden wallets" using my Trezor + Electrum and long passwords.  But, remember this is only a part of the equation.  Regardless of how sneaky any wallet software is, if you don't utilize the proper internet connectivity when you use it you are easily UNMASKED.  I personally welcome any bitcoin wallet product that assists a user with hiding a wallet.  Ample use of a decoy wallet(s) is nice!  I may download this wallet and give it a look just for grins.  Thanks.
