Hi there,
i have got two 7950s and a CoolerMaster1200W PSU.
The 7950s have two 6-Pin entries and the leads from the PSU have 6-Pins and also another 6-Pin going out from those 6-Pin. (I hope its clear what i am trying to say.)
Do i have to put two single 6-Pin leads on every GPU or just one and use this extra 6-Pin for the other entry of the GPU?
Hope thats not to confusing, maybe i find a pic.
Greets

each card requires you have both 6 pins plugged in to the car

you need to connect 4 plugs to your cards. It doesn't matter which ones, as long as they are supposed to be connected to a PCIE GPU

they (the 2* 6 pins) can come from any source, the same cable is ok, even 2 molex adapter, anyway 1200W is overkill.

You could probably fit about 5 or 6 7950s on a 1200W PSU (assuming you're running with a Silver/Gold/Plat rating).

OK, so it doesnt matter when i use one cable for each GPU?? (Of course using both 6-Pin leads of that cable)
Yeah i know its an overkill. I am thinking of running 4x7950s.
5-6?? Really? I thought each 7950 needs 200W and 200W is as safety/mainboard etc. ?

Let me jump in and say I'm using three 7950s, each with 2x6 pin connectors, with an 850W Gold rated PSU. You're missing a few cards!
The cards should come with SATA or Molex to 6-pin PCIe converter cable, no?

litecoin need more power because it uses memory, but bitcoin uses no memory so you need less power. IMO you never have to much power
