That is what price I had when I checked I guess.
It was bitfinex's price but their's is higher than other on preev price rate website by $2-3 all the time.

anyways i think google takes its price from a couple of places most probably bitfinex and coinbase and these two have been higher (right now btx is $791.8 while btc-e is $779.4)

Coinbase prices seem to be a way higher than in most other places. It looks like there is a big spread between buy and sell price there, though I didn't check, and Google takes the higher value as price quotation. Anyway, I don't think that many people are really using Coinbase wallet to buy and sell their bitcoins due to spreads.

Coinbase prices seem to be a way higher than in most other places. Forget Coinbase!There is almost no volume.This exchange doesn't have any significance.
Use the known bigger exchanges like Kraken, BitFinex, Bitstamp, BTCC etc as bases.

Better to speculate only $800 on Christmas price can't jump over $850 by that time which is quite near. This week price can get easily pushed to over $800.

the rise has been good so far, a very smooth transition towards $800 and there is no sign of any kind of slowing down. the rise will continue, and these are corrections happening because of day trading.

Checking the price like 3 times per week and I see a nice rise from ~$730 to ~$790 with a slight spikes/drops within hours
And yes breaking $800 barrier is possible before January 2017 in my opinion

before Christmas i do expect next peak will be $800 indeed the current price has pretty near to reach at those price but i don't think the price will rise up with faster but rather than speculate next price of bitcoin i think i would save small amount of my bitcoin untill Christmas to see next movement

That's really true, bitcoin is close to 800$ as never before. I'm pretty sure bitcoin wil hit this point in next few days and probably on new year it's going to be 800+$ per 1 BTC. I think that is going to be the best new year present to all bitcoin users.

You know what happens when we break that wall right? Most people start selling to cash in on their investments to make a profit and this will push the price down again.

in other words, nothing new.
this has been happening for as long as any market ever existed in the whole world. when a higher price is reached people sell, price comes down (correction) they buy back again => profit.

We should just forget about the price for now, and concentrate on increasing adoption. The price will increase through these barriers, if we concentrate our efforts on aggressive adoption methods. < Incentivized rewards for Bitcoin use at merchant levels through discounts >

we are on a speculation board, everyone is only thinking about price and how they can make more profit from it changing.
i am not disagreeing with what you said though, we need adoption and real usage adoption not more investors who just buy bitcoin to make money (go to da moon)

It always happens as the price reach certain point and daily traders can't wait to sell out their coins at the time, that's why the price keep fluctuate every day.
We already separated into some groups: buy and sell instantly for faster profits; holders until reach >$1000, real bitcoin users as daily currency.
We need to attract more adopters as users daily spending that believe bitcoin is worth than fiat and easier to do transaction over the world without bank system, but still there are a lot to resolve before that's going to be happen.

There are several known personality to predict bitcoin price ranging $800 - $850 at the end of this year.  One of them were from the whaleclub.  They see market is bullish and it is possible to break $800 barrier soon.  There are new funds coming from the new people flocking in to bitcoin so it is very possible for $800 Bitcoin soon.  I checked in google yesterday, Bitcoin touched $790 and now at $789.66 as of time of writing.   So i guess, it is just a matter of a few days before we see Bitcoin @ $801 +

there is still 10-20 dollars left to $800 though and these whole numbers always have some kind of a psychological effect that will create some kind of barrier for being broken and unless Chinese decide to pump bitcoin it would be hard to break it in USD value.
