I have a Ledger HW.1. As I see it there are 3 desktop clients that support the HW.1. I see The Chrome app, Electrum and GreenAddress. Which one do *YOU* recommend and why? I'm curious about which one people think is the best and their reasoning behind it.

Thanks!

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Personally, I'd recommend the use of Electrum over the others because it gives you more control and less reliance on a 3rd party. From what I've seen the Chrome app doesn't have many features and will be lacking if you've used something like Electrum in the past. I don't have experience with GreenAddress but you do lose some control as you are relying on their website to be functioning. Electrum ( with proper backups ) seems to be the best option to me.

The chrome app is the official app built specifically to use the HW.1 wallet. As far as I know this app is made by the very same developers that produce the Ledger HW.1 and is the most recommended app to use the HW.1.

It misses custom fees compared to Electrum but nevertheless the official app is the best way to use the HW.1.

If MyCelium can be implemented into the ledger then that would be my vote to use with it.
Has used it for ever and not one problem with sending or receiving with it.
The other two wallets I have not used yet but I think that Electrum is run off the same sort of code or api.
