You should enjoy what you do. If you feel always complaining day after day, do something fun about it. Leave a sad job and stop complaining. No one forces you to do the things you hate, do something you can and wonders for you so you do not feel overwhelmed and you definitely will not complain.

Because human is an intelligent creature like no other.
Like the way cheetahs use their speed to catch food, humans use elaborate schemes to do so. A simple example but you can expand on it if you so wish. One thing that's never mentioned is how intelligence has created new needs and desires, ones that creatures without intelligence can't even think of. Thus, the complexity of our society is a byproduct of our attempt to systemise living and create enviroments to get our hands on stuff we want faster and more easily.

Life is never simple. It can only get harder everyday because the older we go the harder it gets. We live for a reason as human beings that can ascend to a higher form. It is assured that life itself is full of ups and downs because complications are only a part of our purpose in life. The only way to live is accepting the truth than to break down and think about it.

I do love cynicism (the philosophy of living the simple life) (Cynicism comes from the greek root word for dog). Out in nature all my problems seem to melt away. But I don't think I should have to extricate myself from civilization to feel good about how I'm treated by my government and my fellow man.

Now here's something relative to the OP:

The government acts really shady around taxes. Since it's here to serve us, it should make it easy. They already have all the documents they need, they could send us a tax bill that we could dispute if we think it's unfair. 

Instead they make us do our own taxes so that we have to hire middlemen to help us or so that they can catch us on a technicality and scare us into reporting every little thing. Taxes don't have to be so complicated.

Try to make life more relaxed again. then you will not feel a complicated life. the complexity we create. Perhaps, with gratitude our lives can be more meaningful. and there is no longer any pressure that makes life burdensome.

i think it just about luckiness and your effort to make it easy or complicated, and if your effort has been maximum to make uncomplicated life, then let it be just the way it is, keep enjoy your life eventhough it's complicated.

Life is hard when you don't have money, when you have money you will be able to do some difficult things.

Why some people complain is due to poverty.

When poverty strike any one, the person will start seeing  life difficult and boring, alway complain and regreting.

Yes, individually we are simple. I am a simple individual, so is my friend and so are you.
But then the complexity of society is not based on the individual.
It is based on the population.
We have 7 billion people in the planet.
So how do we handle that?
Complexity comes into play.

If a family of 4 are living in a small house in the mountains, everything is simple.
In a city, 10 million people are there. Everything becomes complicated.
Complexity is about the combination of those individuals.
Imagine 4 million people in a city owing banks housing loans.
Banks would require documents to identify which one is borrowing money from it.
But in a small house of 4 people in the middle of nowhere, if you borrow money from your father or brother, no need for such documents.
It will be very simple since you know each other really well.
Complexity arises due to population and the need for it.

We cannot clarify life as easy or hard or either complicated. Life is a big roller coaster ride, as cliche as it may seems but its the reality. If we take life as a simple undying cycle, then be a part of it, know where to stand, know when to go with the flow. If everything is not going in plan, or not going the way you want it, then think of another plan. Think of another way to get out of this labyrinth.
