I must admit that I've had my share of skepticism for this project at the beginning when all the fud started.  However the team handled it 100% the right way.  They didn't debate and go back and forth and instead just kept moving ahead.  They never missed an update or a deadline.  Look at all the projects in Crypto that are constantly sidelined, delayed, or have devs that go ghost.  Qtum has hit every target so far on their timeline and are even releasing their mainnet ahead of schedule.  To be ahead of schedule in this space, is very very very RARE.  They've constantly provided updates at every turn and have in the end churned out a very promising project and potential real competitor to Ethereum.  I heard that there are 17 projects releasing on qtum, no project but ETH can boast these numbers.  Congrats to the team.

Do you know what the 17 projects are?

No hype living in QTUM... All this great news are known to really small number of people and this is really great... Building strong foundation all the way from the start of the project...

Just remember all that trols with false infromations calling QTUM scam all arround web.. But team stayed cool and doing their job... That's the way to do it Smiley

Week of August 28th

Changes made through this week to the core wallet:

Bugs fixed:

* [Staking/EVM] Fixed bug so that staking checks transaction gas limits at the output level, rather than just the transaction level, preventing certain gas limit exceeding attacks

Work completed:

* [Misc] Disabled txindex and prune options, since prune is not currently unsupported, and txindex can not be disabled (thanks guest contributor crypt0m1nd3r)
* [RPC/EVM] Added `getlogs` method to get logs from a specific smart contract for a certain block range
* [RPC/EVM] Added `getstorage` method to get storage data from a specific smart contract fro a certain block range
* [Staking] Extended the staker to properly prioritize contract transactions on gas price
* [Staking] Added options -staker-min-tx-gas-price, -staker-max-tx-gas-limit, and -staker-soft-block-gas-limit for fine tuning acceptable transactions for staking
* [Consensus] Added a consensus rule to disallow transactions larger than 1Mb

In-progress work and soon to be fixed bugs:

* We've been working on creating a Qtum Ledger (the hardware wallet) app, as well as porting Electrum to work with Qtum. We've had some success, but still a ways to go. There is no ETA yet, though we expect it to be done by the time the mainnet is released.

The only reason QTUM went down a bit is because of the general market sentiment. It will recover very soon, so see this as a discount.

From CNBC:

China bans companies from raising money through ICOs, asks local regulators to inspect 60 major platforms
Chinese regulators are about to start a campaign related to the country's initial coin offerings (ICO), according to a Caixin report
In a document, authorities said they have banned new projects that raise cash or other virtual currencies through cryptocurrencies
A list of 60 major ICO platforms were provided for local financial regulatory bodies to inspect and report on, according to Caixin

Is qtum affected cos this was a Chinese ICO right?

Organizations and individuals that have completed fundraising through ICOs should make relevant arrangement to return funds, in order to protect the interests of investors and properly deal with risks.
