Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Kinda in the same boat. Bought in during spring of 2011. Forgot about bitcoin after the crash, just now getting back in. Looks like there was a massive correction just now as well. Have to see if I can get my mtgox account verified and funded to profit from this.

yea, i bought 5000 coins a year or so ago and remember recently that I had them.
Long story short, I am now a millionaire.

Actually I cashed out 50%, so no I'm not now, but I'm holding the other 50% for at least the next 10 years, will buy back in on any double digit dips.

Regression line of best fit would be a lot lower than that if you use a simple linear equation in the form of ax + b = c!
