Newbie Here -just wondering if anyone in London does cash or bank wire transfers happy to meet, please drop a PM, still confused about this all, can be daunting reading the wikis  but have cash to invest so might as well - live in Harrow/Wembley area

You can wire money to the exchange, purchase some bitcoins with that money, and trade away... It took me about 24 hours last time I transferred.
