Hi I'm new so be gentle.  I used bitcoin a while back and had some bitcoins in a wallet and forgot about them.  I want to find them again and I have the address of the wallet.  How do I do that?

You have to have the wallet.dat file that was on the harddrive.

If you don't have the private keys from that file, you can assume the bitcoins are lost forever.

If you didn't delete the wallet.dat file, then it might still be on your harddrive.

If you did delete it, depending on how long ago and what you've done with the computer in the meantime, it might still be recoverable with the right software.
