Terracoin chain is active again, and withdrawals from Vircurex have been enabled, so TRC ought to be flowing smoothly.

Bumping to announce that I'm supporting Litecoin as well.  I'd like to support other currencies soon, too.  I have my eyes on BBQcoin and PPcoin.

I'm getting questions about how orders on the exchange works.

This is a market exchange.  Participants place orders on the exchange, I match orders with matching prices, and exchanges are made.  This may be a little confusing if you are new to market exchanges.  It's not like going down to Wal-Mart where you are quoted a price for an item and you either buy at that price or don't buy it all.

Here is a great post from DannyHamilton explaining how a market exchange works:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=146665.msg1556741#msg1556741
I consider this post to be recommended reading for those who are new to exchanging!

Thx man!
I'm currently setting up my pc to mine BTE. I'll only add about 7MH ( crappy GPU) but it looks like we will need everything we can spare to get to the next retargetting like anon said. Wink

One great thing about a Google docs exchange - you get a builtin trollbox.  Just click the link telling you how many other viewers there are, and you can chat with them.

I think you are right.

I've been looking at acquiring some hashing power for a little while, and I think I'm about to make my first purchase toward that end.  Up till now I've only ever CPU mined a bit, and gotten nothing of course.

I want a healthy altcoin ecosystem with multiple choices.

To exchange on RBCex:

  • Look over the order book to get an idea of what prices look like and what price you want to set for your order
  • PM me here on Bitcoin talk with the order you want to place.  Example: BUY 10.0 BTE @ 0.002 LTC/BTE
  • I will reply with a deposit address for the coin you are selling (or the coin you are buying with)
  • Fund your order by depositing into that address.  For the order above, you'd need to send 0.02 Litecoin to the address I provide you.
  • If your order matches existing prices, I will make the exchange and alert you by PM that the exchange has taken place.  You can then send me an address to withdraw the funds you purchased.  Optionally, you may keep your funds on the exchange for a later order.
  • If your order does not match existing prices, I will list it on the order book.  When a later order comes in that matches yours, I will make the exchange and alert you by PM as I described above.
  • If your order is listed in the order book and no matching orders have come in, yet, you may cancel and withdraw any time by PM'ing me.
  • This service is presently free.  However, tipping is appreciated. Wink

By all means if this is confusing, please ask.

Notes:
  • All orders are anonymous.  I will list a meaningless order ID for my own records, but will not disclose your identity in the order book.  When trades are made I will not disclose the buyer and seller to each other.
  • There is no minimum order at this time.  If you just need a single Bytecoin-satoshi, you can order it.  (That doesn't mean that it will sell. Wink )
  • All orders must be fully funded to be listed on the orderbook.  I will not match or list unfunded orders.
  • If your order seems very off to me, I may contact you by PM to be sure that you did not get your math wrong.  This may cause a delay before listing, but I want to prevent mistakes, if possible.  This is a human process.  If you make a mistake but I don't notice, your order may get listed with a mistake.  I'll do the best I can.

RBCex: now accepting BBQCoin! Smiley

Trade your BQC for BTE.  Or BTC, or TRC, or LTC, only at RBCex.

To my knowledge, RBCex is the first exchange to facilitate trading BBQCoin, the coin you can eat.

Hi OP, would you be able to add the BBQcoin logo to this from bbqcoin.org please?

Thanks.

Yes, I was working on that right now, actually, but I'm having trouble finding one of suitable size.  I think you cryptocoin developers all conspire to have your logos made at incompatible sizes; the four I have now look terrible, and BBQcoin logo is not going to help, so I think I'm going to have to resize them all, soon. Smiley

Thanks for lifting this coin back up, CaptChadd!  I did a lot of reading last night about what you've done with it the last couple months.
