Does your BTC wallet have to be online to accept a deposit?

I'm at work and my comp with the wallet is off line.

Can you still make buys? When your wallet goes online are the BTC's then transferred/deposited once you handshake with the BTC universe?

You don't need to be online to accept a deposit in your wallet-client.

Transactions can be created offline. They will be mined into a block when you connect the client.

Thank you for confirming.

If I thought of it - someone has already solved it!
