No doubt about that. People right now are blindly buying without thinking about the consequences of the pump coming to an end. It's pure greed in combination with the fear of being too late to be part of the moon party. I'm glad that I can just look at the price and secure profits. I would never buy at current prices. I only buy my coins when the market is looking like a war zone. No one knows till what price levels we'll see this rally continue, but it's not hard to imagine that $1000 would be some sort of a barrier. I personally think that from this point, there is less than 10% that we can go up. In that regard, it might touch $900-$920 before we see the price go down again.

I hope you realize that not everyone is a speculator/trader.

Some people buy bitcoins for the purpose of long-term savings or to send money quickly and cheaply around the world.

Others buy bitcoins as a safe haven for their funds when they're under siege from governments and banks.

The situation in India is a prime example of the latter. That's not FOMO.

That's FOLM, fear of losing money. They'll gladly pay a premium to keep their money safe.

For the healthy of the currency, I don't think the price should move too fast in a short period. I think the price will decrease a little bit after the pump if that happen and will stabilize between 800USD and 850USD.

I would expect the correction to start anytime soon. This type of peak, as the one right now, has been seen in the past in the final stages of the up legs. A good and healthy correction would be great before resuming further rise.

this was a fast rise for sure, and it was a new thing after a very long time in bitcoin that something like this happened with the price. but i would never call this a bubble because it is too small a rise to be a bubble. the price has gone up 7-8% and with bitcoin you can not call that a bubble.

Honestly we can't take the current price behaviour  as a strong basis on how far bitcoin price will go up even for our desire target that is closely approaching and in the case of your post, it's around $890. Once there is a rapid price surge expect some rapid price decrease too. You know in a situation like this a price decrease of even $10 can start a triggered of a bearish activity which is normal.

What we are waiting here is the correction price or how far will the price decrease after the pump. If any price above $700 is fine then what's more at above $800.

Slow and steady till $780. But now in 2 days $100 is a pump and it will crash very soon. I am in BTC since 2012 and am used to these patterns. But I always sold at the wrong time, so as always, I will hold for long term.

At some point there will be price correction,and since this is going up to fast we can expect that price can drop to 700$.But there is also possibility that such a drastic decline will not happen this time.It was a slow growth to 800$ and after that we see this pump which still runs.It seems that many people are buying now,but some of them will sell some coins for holidays.But I hope many will hold their coins this time and wait until next year when we may see four-digit numbers.

Corrections are inevitable, but so far it's looking VERY steady. This was a great rise that looks like a hard crash isn't to follow.

   I`m holding my coins safe! I`m aware of that trading strategy sell now when its high buy later when its low, and in that trade I can make more coins for myself. There will be still plenty of buying opportunities before we rise to $5k. I don't see it in any foreseeable future. Despite all positive price development recently, it is still just another ball game.

Okay, but i think that's too much at 5k dollars let be view it up to 2k dollars price increase in the future months to go. If we will expect greater than that maybe its not possible because price sometimes slows down and decrease eventually. We will take long years to achieve that price if we will be thinking positively but as long as bitcoin still kicking its popularity, its no wonder we could be at that certain price soon.

Secondly, there is no need to rush with buying as there will be plenty good buying opportunities down the road.

well honestly it is really possible because it might be that the bitcoin is just pumped at the moment and all the growth is just fake created by the speculators to make as much profit as possible, though it is also possible that it is a natural growth because the demand of bitcoin is increasing at a very rapid pace, hopefully that is the case and bitcoin is going to be only bigger without any drops.

You can sell a small portion - say equivalent to the $ value when you purchased (eg if you bought 1 BTC at $200, sell $200 worth) and the rest is just a pure bet and you can let it ride.

I think that is a good idea. At least you do not lose the original investment. But if you think the price will rise further, it is better not to sell.

I've said this before, and believe it more and more now. Bitcoin's first real improvement in years could have a very good effect on it's price.
Especially after the ETF-denial, current Bitcoin volatitility, emerging alt-coins and months of slow confirmations, Bitcoin could use some good news.

The bitcoin is too slow to transact. I think people are moving away from it to Ethereum or ZCash.

Yup , this bounce is weak, looks like more movement south. There was a chance yesterday to bounce much higher but the bulls are waiting for the 800$ it seems..
