Maybe this thread will go down in infamy like all the others and be bumped in a few months maybe not. But it seems like a correction is coming (not necessarily an epic crash, but a correction nonetheless). The media hype has died down, volume is down (even in USD), the price spiked at $266 and I don't think we are going anywhere past that. The millionaires are cashing out (big sells today)... this rocket has reached its apex, now it's time for gravity to kick in. This isn't a bad thing, the price will drop and then stabilize and Bitcoin will finally actually be used for its intended purpose, as a currency at online stores. That will make the Bitcoin protocol as a whole more valuable.

Wow... in the time it took me to write this post, the price has already dropped $10. Glad I cashed out when I did.

Unease of holding Federal Reserve Notes that are backed only by a bunch of bankers?

Nope.

$10 is nothing... It's less than 5% at these prices.

There's still a ton of buy support up past 200. Once the lag clears, think we'll see another breakout.

It is good to take profits on a trade and only have regrets at how much more you "could have made".  If that is your goal (trading).   Personally, if I was trading BTC rather than investing in it, I would not sell until you see some kind of equilibrium on the buying vs. the limited selling.   Day trading is adding a lot to this "volume" so the actual amount of the float that is changing hands is very small.   As a trade, this is going higher.   As an investment this is going up 50 fold.

This is very well timed. I am actually glad to see this speed bump today.

Now, if only my SEPA transfer would clear with Bitstamp... Smiley

I don't know what will happen with this correction. Will it make a huge crash? One thing is for sure, if it does not and the price resumes back up, only very very very (I mean that) strong hands will be holding bitcoins. So who knows?

I really think the Gox lag is to blame, along with the sudden excitement from last night about hitting $200 causing slight above trend overpricing

I'm going to set a buy order just above $200. There's no way it's breaking back below that right.

The dip is % terms is small

BUY IT.  There is no fundamental reason it is going down other that another DDOS.  Use the opportunity to make money just like the people doing the attack are.   Do not be a sucker.
