- paper wallet is written/printed on a piece of paper, you can only "hack" it by stealing it physically! and that only works if what is written/printed on that paper is not encrypted already.
- i don't know what you mean by "bitcoin wallet accounts" but if you mean something like web wallets, the way to hack them is to hack the user's account password by different ways like a key logger, social engineering,...

in short you can not hack bitcoin and certainly not with a bot that a random dude on the internet is giving away. my guess is that he is giving you  a keylogger but is calling it "bot" and when you receive it you become the victim of a hack.

I call Bullshit.. I have never heard of anyone that could use bots to find paper wallets. Explain this to me, I create a paper wallet and print it on a printer that are not connected on the internet. Then I take that piece of paper and I store it in a safe deposit box in a bank. How will that bot get to that paper wallet? All my paper wallets are created and printed offline on a computer that will never be linked to the internet again. ^smile^

Today you cannot hack Bitcoin. You can, however hack Bitcoin users and steal files from their computers/laptops/smartphones.
If the data you steal contain wallet files or private keys of addresses that actually contain Bitcoin then jackpot!
Any pair of public+private key can be seen as paper wallet, whether it is on paper or not. Many could make the mistake to "safe keep" their paper wallet onto computer for various odd reasons, but I doubt that what that guy has are actual paper wallets. Actual wallets - more likely.

Raffling paper wallets is again, a strange term. Maybe he raffles private keys, else he would have to hand the winners the paper, you know...


So, while stealing wallets is a possibility, I don't think it happens that often so he could play like that.
Stealing paper wallets is a less likely and it can be seen as a contradiction of terms.
I find it as a nice story, but just a story. Maybe that's why he has banned the accounts that are not his. Now be careful and check twice what he could have stolen from you.

It's unfortunate to see just how gullible people are in areas that they don't understand. It seems to be very easy to make them believe things in the information age, especially when using some 'buzzwords'.

You can, however hack Bitcoin users and steal files from their computers/laptops/smartphones.

This is nothing special, and this is what the general population needs to understand. The users of pretty much any service, ranging from social media to internet banking can be hacked when their machines or networks are compromised. Bitcoin itself is not 'hackable' in the traditional sense. There are some known attack vectors (e.g. 51%), but that's about it right now.

I guess there are several leaks possible :
- directly by the service (bad security)
- by the postman ^^
- by someone in your house
- by someone breaking your mailbox

But all those cases aren't directly link to BitCoin security.

Another approch gonna be generate private key and test it, maybe one can work and be uncrypted (no pass phrase).

Also this is not BitCoin this is user not securing his wallet.

yess bitcoin wallet accounts can be hacked in a different way.and it is called stealing ,if u want to store ur bitcoins in ur cold wallet store them in a pendrive alike structure ,then it is saved a lot from hacking.

Bitcoin cannot be hack. Maybe the hacker just phish the accounts of others. I think only online wallet can have account which is prone from phishing accounts because you must log in first to use the wallet. I never heard that bitcoin network can be hack. Its impossible. If its possible bitcoin must be dead by now.

if you ask me, it is not a paper wallet (which is supposed to be cold storage) by definition if you are using an "online" service to make it.
all the codes that i have seen so far for making a paper wallet are suggesting the following as first step:
- download code
- go on and offline (clean) computer which then they suggest using a live linux.

also people usually use the famous services/codes like bitaddress (not sure about spelling) which are peer reviewed and  are open source.

That's not a Bitcoin private key leak, but a [insert service] leak. It is highly advised to avoid the use of web wallets, online address generation, et al. However, it seems that some users are too ignorant to realize why.

People posting these "hacks" online are likely to just infect you with keyloggers or other malware to steal your information and then use that to steal your bitcoins. Interact with these people at your own risk.

They can be traced, but at the same time they can also be run through a Bitcoin mixer and at that point it becomes nearly impossible to identify who really owns the coins. Even if you are able to track the address it goes to you still have to actually find out who really has it, and that's probably more work than just tracing the transactions.
