Not much news... Dev is here, just buried in real life issues. Project is not dead, I have things that i must take care of. I am not hiding or making excuses. I am still around in this project for the long haul. |

*** STATUS UPDATE JAN 22, 2017 ***The Seed nodes are synch'ing up with a newer version of the wallet. Once the seed nodes are properly sync'd the new version of the wallet will be released. Changes: - The hard fork was removed from the code and will be re-evaluated later.
- Protocol version jump to eliminate the nodes with the broken Hard Fork.
I would like to see a couple of blocks successfully mined to test the new wallet version. I will keep you posted.

OK! Blockchain is moving again. The blockchain will continue, no rollback. and mining rewards will continue at 100 XMINE for now. The next release I will change the halving interval to help reduce the coin supply.
I am working on a release to fix things. If you have an older version of the wallet such as version 1.0.0, that wallet should still work and sync with the blockchain.

Anyone mining this coin? I've been mining for 19 hours and have only gotten one transaction, right after I first started and haven't seen anything since. BFG miner shows I'm getting shares and have found several blocks but as of yet haven't received anything.

Looks like blockchain stuck again on block 703,353. You might want to get the chain up and running properly without the hard fork before you try to alter the mining rewards, at this point you have pretty much lost any interest in this coin.

Please try to get listed in an exchange other than yobit. They currently have your wallet in maintenance mode and are known for never updating coins and getting them working again once they go in maintenance.

I agree. The question is which exchange? They either require 1000's of votes or pay BTC to get listed. This coin does not have many active followers... yet. The real goal is the project that will use this coin as the currency. I would rather concentrate on the project, and when it is released, if successful the demand for the project will drive the adoption of XMINE. In theory... |

While I partially agree with what you are saying, as someone with 10+ years marketing experience I have to say that it is never too early to start getting interest in your product or project, regardless of what it is. You say that demand for the project will drive the coin, but I say that interest in the coin will be a bigger motivator towards the project. Keep in mind that if the coin doesn't raise interest and continues the way it's headed that the project will fall flat because people will consider the coin attached to it as a dead coin. This is the most important thing to remember.... the project needs the coin, the coin does not need the project. |
