Rate of Bitcoins is fluctuating. Can anyone say why? Maybe but think of it.. If we received 1BTC for freelancing. While price increases... Our 779 USD payment for the freelancing is now 9xx USD. Where is our profits coming from since BTC is a currency we can use? BTCBTCBTCBTCBTC
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Bitcoin is backed up by dollar. The price of bitcoin is being dictated by the movement in the market. So if you ask where is our profit coming its from the people who buy bitcoins using dollars. If nobody buys bitcoin then its value is useless. The reason why bitcoin is accepted as a currency because you can exchange it to dollars. Your profit only comes in when you exchange your bitcoin to a much higher price compared to the day you  hold it.

It's like hitting two birds with one stone at the current rate, you have not increase your price but when you exchange it to dollar the value is much higher than when you first bid, this is one of the reason why freelancers choose to get paid in Bitcoin.

bitcoin is still in its early stages of adoption and every day that passes this adoption grows and with more adoption more people to bitcoin which means higher demand that eventually leads to higher prices.

and as for payment, yeah if you can do something that is worth 779 USD then i guess you make 130ish USD price but remember these rises like this doesn't happen every day!

until recently, the price of bitcoin is still up to the height, even dikatakn that this is a very fast rise. if current prices persist, maybe we'll start with the price of $ 950 at the beginning of 2017. I believe that the price of bitcoin could achieve higher prices. in 2017 bitcoin rise to the moon

People would have been happy with $800 at the start of 2017. This kind of rapid lift offs give us the feeling that the rise would not be sustainable.
2016 has been a blockbuster year and has set the expectations high for 2017.

Your profits are coming from people who did not receive bitcoin for freelancing and want in.

It can also go to $500, so when you will get 1 bitcoin for frelacing and Bitcoin will end at $500 you will not be so happy then. I hope you will remember this moment at taht time and se that on long term, things just even up.

Last year too the same happened with gradual increase in price which at the year end rose big, but it didn't sustain long. For few weeks time it again continued to increase and later on due to panic selling from users once again made the price to come to the starting point and rise gradually.

i guess that 30% of this rise could be a bubble, because i have just seen a drop from ~910 to ~890 right now, though it increased my value of bitcoin (since i am not a trader). Tongue do not buy at over $900 this period.

is that the failure of the politics over the world? can anyone answer it or what?

out of ability to use the signature, i want a new ban strike policy that will fade the strike after 90~120 days of the ban and not to be traced back, like google | email me for anything urgent, message will possibly not be instantly responded
i am not really active for some reason

Speculation is still having a very strong influence over the Bitcoin exchange rates. As the user-base increases, I hope that the exchange rates will become more stable.

BTW... don't post here warning others not to buy above $900 per coin. If you are purchasing coins for long term investment, then even at $900 per coin, you will be able to get a good ROI.

the situations is not always good because sometimes bitcoin price could dropped more than $100 in a day however if you were received 1 bitcoin as your freelancing salary and hold it for long term i think that more good because indirectly you have good investment for the future

i guess that 30% of this rise could be a bubble,

this rise started from $790 and rise from that price to $900 is a $13 ($110) rise now 30% of $110 is $33 so you are calling $33 rise in price of $900 a bubble. good job Cheesy

Quote
because i have just seen a drop from ~910 to ~890 right now,

your reasoning is also wrong. a $20 drop is a normal thing in bitcoin. it is actually a small drop considering it is a 2% drop and also considering that it was a "correction" drop which is also normal.

Quote
though it increased my value of bitcoin (since i am not a trader). Tongue do not buy at over $900 this period.

then maybe if you are not a trader you shouldn't give short term trading advice. because for non-traders $900 is still a good entry price to hold long term.

lol

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

$100 per day drop is a thing of the past. Bitcoin has become more stable, over the years. So unless a major Exchange or Wallet hack occurs, I don't think that the exchange rates will drop by $100 per coin in a single day. And regarding the second part of your post, it is always preferable to hold your coins for the long term. But if you intend to convert them to fiat, then please do it as soon as you receive the coins.

it is the great potential that bitcoin has.
if you get paid with bitcoin because of a job you did or if you work, earn money and buy bitcoin with that money you are in both cases making an investment and this investment has been proven to be a great one with lots of potential .
