Those $2 converters definately don't work for the RX 470/480 cards I tried. Don't know if using resistors would help however. Dont have any on hand.
All my rigs are working with those 2$ HDMI to VGA converters without any mods/resistor , just plugged to the main GPU and all my rigs are RX470 on windows 10. Really? I guess the one they've sent me from Chinese was defective. Will order another one.

I dont get it, why do you need this thing for mining? in some cases when monitor isn't plugged in the rig it won't start up

H81 has no issues but other mobos have sometimes what are you using?

on 95 rigs ? not an option use IPMI Isn't it for remote controlling the machine? How can it fake the monitor? I can remotely shut down machine when it freezes or for any other reason and power it up again, the only issue is that ASUS H81M-k mobos in some cases need monitors plugged in to turn on properly

H81 has no issues but other mobos have sometimes what are you using? Yeah I have the H81 on the rigs. Yeap that's why you have no trouble with this, I have 16 H81 and if there is powe blackout or something they just power on and continue mining without zero interaction.
