Using solar power to run a mining setup??

Has anyone ever used a solar panel to run a mining set up?

or..does anyone know how much power a standard mining set up uses?

off grid is not convenient in the end, you need battery which are expensive and last 10 years

you will end up pying your electricity in advance, and it's pointless if you have less than 10cent electricity anyway

on grid may have a reason, but the solar pannel need to be positioned in the best place where there is more sun activity, so cold place are not advisable

and even then it was calculated that 1kwh for example only cover you for 3 hours a day

wouldn't the setup costs be high? depending on what you mine, time for ROI could range from long to very long

If you already own a solar farm then building of mining farm around it is a good idea. Otherwise i don't think so.
And choose only on-grid solutions, off-grid can be good only if you combine it with wind power, or even small hydro.
