You made the right decision. Gambling and trading is both risky but making trade is safer than betting. I would pick also trading because there is assurance for you to be successful just by my skills. In gambling, most n/of them doesn't required skills such as dice games and lotteries.

Yup in gambling we needed the luck to win our bet especially in Dice and other slot games. But skill games and trading almost same both have the same risk. But in sports betting sometimes we will get some unexpected result, so the loss percentage is a bit high in sports betting to compare trading. In trading, if you trade with the right person and the price is stable you can make a profit.

It seems indeed profitable trading, when you are looking for tips and tricks to get the profit from trading, certainly on the internet is widely available. But I think, when all the tips and various things to support profit in trading I tried, it does not guarantee could always make we profit.

Looks gambling did not require great skill, but also such trading, only speculation in trading can also get profit.

Well if you meant to marigin trading then it is petty much gambling , unless you have an inside knowledge.

If you are just selecting a stock/coin and buys it without any knowledge, it is considered to be gambling, as it is all based on luck and nothing else.

No, if you left gambling and do trading, So simply you are doing trading. No doubt, many persons said gambling and trading, both have a same way, Because in both ways, we need luck, otherwise, many different ways are here. Secondly, in trading, only less chances are here to lose your amount, and if you lose than later on you can recover it. So i think you choose a right way, and should continue it.

It depends on how you are performing your operations. If the individual invests without knowing very well the business, and without being sure if the decisions that are being made are the right decisions, in this case it can be said that the person is gambling, because there is a high risk of losses occurring.

However, since the trades are conducted based on knowledge and solid fundamentals, trading becomes very different from gambling.

It is not all based on luck, it is being able to put yourself in the mind of a whale, it has to do with reading charts for accumulation periods, it is being in the know, it is judging sentiment and popularity. It is many things and most of it is not gambling it takes skills and some luck.

You are right , but from last 2-3  days working on gambling job . Earlier I was a succeful trader (  also at this time I am trader ) but now I am involved in gambling and find many things in gambling and trading which are indirectly related .
Here I will explain you through example  , suppose we bought a particular coin but we will sell it at profit/loss price (according to our need ) Now come at gambling here is the same condition , I mean we can't predict what will happen .

So here both of them are looking same but their  outcomes are slow and fast ( that is only the difference )

you're right, in a gambling game, most of your efforts may simply rely on luck. but, in trading, you should use a good analysis, and meticulous to make a profit that much. although similar, gambling and trading have a big difference, that is, from the strategy. you can develop a strategy that will you take in trade, but not with gambling.

I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??

Please tell me what do you think.

If you are analysing the markets and charts and you make your decisions based on that it cannot be considered gambling. Now if you blindly place 0.1btc long position on btc/usd and hoping for the price to go through the roof...That's gambling.  Cheesy

Taking it by chance or just making yourself blind to the fact that you can play smart, that's gambling. Risking an amount that probably you're going to regret if not learned. Trading has a lot of risks just like gambling. If you failed to analyze what is needed or some vital information is not factored to your analogy, it could lead you to negative profit. Be patient and hope for the best when trading, just like in gambling.

yes both are risky, but still i think we cannot consider trading as gambling, because trading is based on knowledge, experience and skill, while gambling mostly depend on your luck. there is no concern of knowledge and experience in gambling. so if you are luck then you do not need any experience and skill in gambling.

I agree trading in general definition and view is far different from gambling. But there are instances where trading become part of gambling when the trader does not know what he is trading.  Trading blindly is considered a gamble in the traders part because he is only relying on his luck to get profit from the trade.  This case scenario often make trader loss and end up in negative ROI.

I fully agree as both are too risky.Trading and gambling are almost synonymous in my opinion or only a thin line separates them.BUt, in trading you can research on some stocks, read updates, their projects etc and minimize your losses.

I think they are not the same risk its more risky if you gamble there is no assurance that you can get recover your loses once you lose in gambling unlike in trading that you can be still sell altcoin if you lose or you can still hold the coins for a long time and wait for the price increase again depends in your analyze..  but both of them are risky trading is medium risk and gambling is high risky..

Decided to end it with zer0 profit.

I think trading it's a different thing.
It can't be considered as gambling, because if you talk about trading, we talk about skills maybe there is a little of luck, but it's not gambling.

When we say we need a little luck, that already means gambling. Actually in bitcoin market, many are speculating about the price and how it will move, that means, they are not 100% sure about it but they save money for it, just in case it really happens. They are both similar in the way that both need luck, but in trading, you can have an idea how the price moves in time, but in gambling, you can never learn how to win without losing.

Yes taking risk to both but there are difference depends on how much you will going to spend on that thing in gambling it easy to earn money if you know how to gambled perfectly , while in trading you need weeks before earning profit or you can earn by short term of trading. I commonly trade i don't have luck on gambling even i played everyday lol.

In speaking of risk both gambling and trading do really have it but they have difference on ways on how to gain money of profits with it but I could say trading do really have the edge because you could really study and learn it unlike on gambling which you would just need to place bets and your good to go unlike on trading you would really need to plan on your trade set-ups.

well that's right if you want to grow more with trading you needed to understand all the possibilities why the market or the stocks will move and good thing with trading everytime there's some downfall or uphill you will be informed with certain news that will affect your supported stocks, unlike gambling its really pure luck that you need from time to time.
