I want to know what you guys think about this, I have stopped gambling but still trade so does this mean I am still gambling?? I don't trade on basis of luck I trade using my skills would it still be considered gambling??

Please tell me what do you think.
Trading was differ from gambling, they cannot be the same as well. Because trading can be considered as assets and investment type while gambling is not a kind of assets neither a king of business too. But they are both have risk involved Smiley
But considering the fact that many peeps start doing doing trading after earning their bitcoins without any prior knowledge on trading, the only thing they know is that in trading you should buy low and sell high and when they loose money in the market and then come here crying that they lost money in trading and it is unfair and other shit, So what do you call that? I would call it gambling.

Trading and gambling actually nearly the same and differents:
- Same:
+ Risky : They're all using risky to earn profit and you can probaly lost everything
+ Big Profit: Profit of these 2 kind is very big or huge maybe , depend on your skills and talents.
+ Use your prediction : Predict is the most important thing .
- Different :
+ Time : Gambling is a quick which is short-term profit , when Trading is a long-term profit.
+ Way : Gambling is betting on the real event and trading is exchanging cryptos to make the profit.

Trading is not really a long term game because it depends on the trader. When we trade, there are always option to drag it short so we wont really need to wait for the long term. If we choose to do it short term then we can still get profit but perhaps it might be less than what we expect. Our expectation is to get alot of money from trading for sure

I think that trade is not like gambling, because with the acquisition of experience and knowledge it is possible to consistently receive a good income unlike gambling which is based only on luck.
I agree they are different they cannot be considered the same, gambling is only base on luck which we don't know when we will make profit from it, unlike trading we can use our knowledge and analization we can make a good profit from it..
They are different but not completely. Anytime a gambling may become trading and trading is more vulnerable to become similar to gambling. A trader is betting on prices and a sports betting gambler is betting on a football player. If you go for deep consideration you may realize the exact similarities between these two.
I don't agree that they have similarities, we bet in gambling while at the same time we play a game. Trading is not a game, we all know when we enter trading, we wants to gain profit right? And in gambling, we all know that we can win and we can lose, so there is no assurance at all. Trading cannot be gambling.

If you trade without analysis then your are like gambling hoping for lucky winnings and seek good profitable wins. Actually you can't consider trading as gambling because in gambling you usually lose but in trading profit is always higher and possibility is there always.
yes that is true in fact it varies from person to person. if a person do not have any experience and skill in trading and he do not use analysis, then surely we can consider trading as gambling. because in gambling we do not need for any experience and skill. most of the the we do not require any analysis in gambling therefore in such cases we can consider trading as gambling.

I can consider trading as a gambling because the outcome is still unknown, tho we can be guided by news and historical data, it is still not enough to support a certainty of the outcome.
Even with analysis, this will be quite hard, there are billions of people and every people has their own decision in trading. I'm in trading for almost a year and using some mathematical, and economical basis but still I can say that I just got lucky. WE are lucky because this is the phase of the development age og crypto. If this is well developed enough and market is stable, it would be hard to trade with great return.
but you know that even trading basically are predicting something uncertain it could be analyzed through reliable sources as long as you are skillful in it , a lot of people agreed that analysis in trading has big influence while in gambling any kind analysis considered as just a dreamy, superstitions and has no influence. that's what makes both different.

I'm in 400,000 euros debt , dont help me , i rather die

They might doesn't have similarities, but at some point both has got some coincidence in terms of benefiting the user involved into it. With gambling when the user gets lucky earns in a short even if he doesn't have any idea regarding the game. Same is with trading, when the user is lucky the asset he bought pumps in a very short time profiting high.

No it's not. You can't considered trading as gambling, it's not the same. You basically use your skills and knowledge in trading. You have the the ability to predict the price in the market. Gambling on the other hand is purely based on luck. You can't predict what will be the outcome when you gamble.

You are right, It's not the same. There is a big difference between gambling and trading, the most important thing is that gambling is mostly depend on luck rather than trading, which you can use your skills and exeperience about altcoins market to increase you chance of making profit.
I see that Trading is more better than gambling, because in Trading you can use your mind and make analyisis and use your skills, in other hand gambling is depennds on luck and also if you win, it will be called that easy money.

We can say that trading is a high class kind of gambling, but we can not assimilate trading to gambling.
Because there infinitely things that differ between the two as the influence of luck and the need an important background for traiding compared to gambling.
In fact, to play gambling you need nothing, otherwise trading is a science which is hard to learn.

Sometimes i think trading and gambling there's no difference , as you only need to guessing something to get profit.
Then where's exactly things make them different? It is required skills for both.
Luck required also no matter in trading or gambling , maybe only on how gambling has an edge but not with trading.

For me trading and gambling are always two different things.
Both are staking money, but the thing that makes them different is: in trading, we are risking our money as a genuine business, so trading is business. While in gambling, we are gambling our money on the game, which means gambling is a game.

I still consider trading as gambling given that in trading, we are still wagering a certain amount for an event with an uncertain outcome thus it will be considered as gambling. Maybe the difference is that in trading, there is an analysis involve beforehand then after that decide if the trader wanted to have a position of it while in gambling, there are games when you would just depend totally in luck if you will win or not. In trading there would be some speculation of where the price might go in the future while in gambling there are games that can be speculated and there are games where you don't need to speculate.

Different in nature, not prone into addiction. Those two are separate from each other but both involve risks of losing money or a thing. Personally, I think trading is better compared to gambling since you may provide your skills and abilities in exchange for payment. While gambling, for as long as you have the capital and money to bet, you know have bullets in the war. Lastly, trading is not a disease in the society compared to gambling where one can be addicted and affect their family and community.

Trading gives you a chance to succeed if you work hard, you are betting on the market movement and there is no house edge or big commission that you have to play like in gambling. Honestly, IMO the only way to profit in gambling is to invest in casino's bankroll but in trading you'll eventually grow and make money once you keep improving your skills, it's a long process that one has to improve over time.

I agree mate, we shouldn't compare this two types of investments. Because gambling really results in a short term and quick profit which eventually make you win but lose more money in an instance. While comparing it to trading, its totally different due to trading has an opportunity to have greater chances of gaining more profit of investing in long term holding of an altcoins that you are keeping in your wallet.

Even in trading also there is no assurance that you will always make a profit because if you enter a market at the wrong time then you may need to wait for very long time to see the profits from your trade. Sometime new traders will book the loss and never come back to trading so you should be correct coin or share to invest at right time. In trading timing is very important to make a profit.

yes trading could be considered as a form of gambling because theres also a risk but less likely to happen and if the value goes down/ dump you can still hold and wait for a possible high/pump and earn more profit unlike in gambling that if youl loose it you cant re gain it anymore unless you bet again. and yes there both based on luck but you can always use your skills and strategy.

But you can be successful if you educate yourself, you will be able to do the right timing if you are aware of what you are doing and you keep updated with the investment you are putting. There are bitcoin and altcoins where you can trade and it's necessary for every trader to analyze the data and the news that he read, that way he will be able to make a good judgement on his investment.

I  think it depends if you are just buying the coin without checking it or doing some research or background check,
Or if you are just new you could consider it as gambling .

It is a gamble if you really don't know what trading is and you just buy the coins that you wish and think that's going to pump in the future. That's why there are traders also that considering it is a gamble because there are no clear future plans for some alt coins that they'd bought. The only thing they knew about it is that they believe on that coin and it has the future and this is a gamble for them.
